I just remembered that this movie was coming out, and it looks like it’ll be soon. There are some trailers now, and you can see them here.

I’m hoping it’ll be good. I really liked Ghost World, and I also like a lot of Daniel Clowes’s comics. What I really appreciate about him is that his stories are dark and weird, but they never descend into total nihilism.

It looks like there’s going to be a plot about a killer on the loose, but it also looks like it’s there more to have the characters react to it than to have a story about a killer. It’s kind of like how they thought it was the end of the world in David Boring or the serial killer thing in Ice Haven.

I’m so there I don’t even need to see the trailer. I’ve been a Terry Zwigoff fan since his first movie, the documentary about the great Howard Armstrong, Louie Bluie. I loved Crumb. I loved Ghost World. I loved Bad Santa, and by now I’m pretty much Zwigoff’s bitch. I’ll always be there first day for a Zwigoff film and I don’t even have to know the title or what it’s about. Just tell me the day and what theater to go to.
