asahi, can you cut out the "Chicken Little" crap already?

But I didn’t back every horse or guess every outcome.

Again, the ‘sin’ here is that I said the race wasn’t over, and that there was uncertainty in the race – which is something that the overwhelmingly left-leaning and intellectually smug netizens of SDMB weren’t willing to accept.

This news article sums up the dynamics of this thread rather well, I think, because like Ryan Grim of the Huffington Post, arrogant and elitist asshole posters asserted that the math was on their side, and suggested that it was the zenith of foolishness to assume otherwise. Moreover, those who suggested that there was uncertainty were accused of having a right wing bias or that they had a perverse desire for a horse race. In short, their integrity was questioned merely for pointing out the obvious, which was that this was a race with a lot of uncertainty, and that the qualitative narratives of the campaign itself were capable of influencing the final quantitative results.

At least Grim had the decency to apologize instead of doubling down on being a smug dumbass cunt in spite of the fact that they have been proven wrong. I was willing to let this go, but you fuckers keep coming back here to debate something that really cannot be debated. You’re on the losing end here. You got worked. You called it wrong. You made false assumptions. You poured on the smug. And you probably act this way whenever you talk to Trump voters or anyone with a different opinion in real life. And you are actually sitting around with a thumb up your ass wondering why Donald Trump is president of the United States?

This particular smug dumbass cunt begs to differ.
