Ashton Kutcher can't act? Who knew?

I mean, besides anybody who has ever seen him.

Where on Earth did directors get the impression that guy could act?

He doesn’t seem that bad to me. Also, from everything I’ve heard about Cameron Crowe, I doubt he’d embarrass an actor like that in front of a gossip-mongering “Post source”.

I knew

maybe they think he acts better than Hilary Duff

Ashton couldn’t out-act a CAN of DUFF.

As a fan of That 70’s Show, I wanted to give Ashton the benefit of the doubt. However, after watching an episode of Punk’d, I realized what a horrible mistake I had made. :smack:

Cause Punk’d really demonstrates acting skills.

Maybe he’s a decent comedic actor, but can’t do serious to save his life?

No, because Punk’d demonstrates what an idiot he is in real life

The ability to act is a mixed bag. Some roles a very untalented person can achieve very easily, and some roles take an incredible level of talent that is rare to behold.

Roles of brainless lunkheads are arguably the easiest roles in the history of history. Absolutely anyone can do it.

I just saw a trailer for Kutcher in a serious dramatic role, in “The Butterfly Effect” and I have to say it really looked like he was doing a good job with it. He is a bubblehead but bubbleheads make some of the finest actors. Just witness Cher or Barbara Streisand.

sligh hijack

Anyone see Justin Timberlake play him on Saturday Night Live?

Who knew Justin Timberlake could be so funny?

Yes, it was very funny. He sounded just like Kutcher, apparently they are friends. I was surprised that he was so good in every skit, he should take up comedy and forget the singing crap.

Much like Garth Brooks. Okay singer, I guess, but the man can be funny.
