Yeah, that is a bit odd.
But I did not answer him…so maybe that makes sense…

Well, you haven’t been particularly good about answering my questions in this thread either, but at least I’m not random about my obviously raging hostility.
I’ll give you that
Remind me of your question(s) again.
Not trying to be a dick but my internet connection/ personal memory sucks donkey balls here.
Again, don’t ask a question that sounds like a damn college essay assignment.
Go wild, dude.
Just might.
Should be interesting.
It’s pretty simple: those who support Trump support torturing prisoners and having their families murdered, among other acts I find unacceptable; such people are beneath me. I responded to something Knowed Out said, I didn’t ask the OP for his opinion on my comment or anything else.
Well, since you did not ask me…well, you can quote me on this issue " ".
A bit ago you said, referring to why you like Trump:
The thing is, though, that Trump generally says things that are awful. He likes nazis, racism, and murderous dictators - and says so. And most of the other stuff he says is petty sniping self-absorbed bullshit.
Now, I like crassness as much as the next fucking guy, but all crassness aside, what are you hearing from this guy that you “generally agree with”?
Pick something you think Trump does or does not stand for. And I’'ll tell you if I agree or not.
PS…love the bolded part…sometimes the folks around here really know how to turn a phrase
For the life of me, I can’t see what he said that was objectionable. I would really like Asimovian to come back and explain his rationale.
Just so you know, I read this as you saying you can’t think of anything he’s said you agree with.
After thinking about it some, the only things I think that Trump personally stands for are:
I’m willing to concede that I’m a bit biased. But that’s why I asked you what you agreed with. If anyone knows what you agree with it’s you; I shouldn’t have to play a guessing game.
Really? How about you explain to all of us how you determine a person’s race if the term “wetback” is used to describe them?
Personally, the way I determine a person’s race if the term “wetback” is used to describe them is that I realise that it’s a racist term that racists use to refer to mexicans, and thus the person is probably a latino of some flavor unless the racist in question is even worse at identifying racial types than average.
The number one thing Trump stands for (besides his self-adoration) is banning Muslims from the United States of America. He has proven that beyond the shadow of doubt to any thinking person. Now, you have two choices in your answer:
[ol][li]Explain why you support such a stance.[/li][li]Provide evidence that Trump, in fact, does not support such a ban.[/ol][/li]
An attempt at 2 should be amusing since, as the courts have noted, Trump’s own public statements show he supports that ban. An attempt at 1 should also be entertaining since that would show you, just like Trump, have no regard for the basic law of the United States, its constitution.
I guess I have another question: Why do you believe Trump is a conservative, or even actually a Republican?
What does that have to do with you being a racist?
Have you ever heard the term and thought it might be an Asian they were talking about?
Reality proves me right.
So if you yell it at a random Hispanic person in the street, they won’t think that it’s a slur? 'Cause if most Hispanic people think it’s a slur against Hispanic people, then it’s a slur against Hispanic people.
Alternately, can you find a single long-term conservative Doper – perhaps Bricker, Shodan, Bone, Fotheringay-Phipps, or anyone else, that would agree with you that wetback is not a racial or ethnic slur?
Sigh. I am not a racist. Deal with that fact. I know libs love to scream racistracistracist like parrots on crack whenever they disagree with someone, but you should at least try to understand the proper meaning of the term:
And when I hear the term wetback, I understand it to mean what was explained earlier - somebody who swam the river to get in. Deal with that fact as well.
