Ask the conservative asshole

I’ll give you that. Donald Trump is dumber than a bag of rocks when it comes to him explaining/defending things.

But you know who WAS a good salesperson?

The slick talkers are IMO the dangerous ones…

Trump’s just irritating at times.

So which female FOX anchor would you grope?

Within the context of this messageboard, what’s the difference between “unapologetic asshole” and “troll”?

(Also: please don’t answer Eddie’s question about SHS. Please.)

Of course you reject reality. You’re liberal.

I didn’t vote for Trump, but I will share that the impulses I had to do so were grounded in part by discussions here as well.

Even when I watch Trump’s ridiculous and absurd antics, and I’m disgusted by this clown who now sits in the Oval Office, I can jump on a thread here and in two minutes be similarly disgusted by the hysterical and poor arguments being directed against him.

There are some great, clear-headed posters here who are solidly liberal, and whose views I cherish reading, but they are often drowned out by crappy arguments and, worse, acceptance of crappy arguments. This is a board that piously reveres fighting ignorance, scoffs at the right for ignoring facts and science, and then accepts shitty attempts at analysis and review merely because the rhetor offering them aligns politically with the prevailing lefty winds.

So, yeah: I didn’t vote for Trump, but I came close enough that I actually marked a ballot “Trump,” before trashing it and voting Clinton. And if you wonder why I teetered on the cusp like that, this place was part of the reason.

“Liberal asshole shit-for-brains” doesn’t apply to all liberals either. Only the ones who don’t like the definition of a term and want to get all socially outraged about it. They are literally liberal asshole shit-for-brains so it isn’t a slur.

Bingo Bricker.

Fucking Bingo.

PS. Did you ever do that Star Wars thingy with your kid? Cause it sounded pretty cool.

How about old Texans insisting that “wetback” is not a racial slur? Does that impact your inclinations on who to vote for at all?

How old?

Both sideways…cause I like to mix it up.

Good grief, you are fucking unbelievably stupid. That bullshit you just posted has already been dissected on this board.

What an absurd conceit. If spite had anything to do with my voting calculations, I’d tear up my ballot.

Of course, this isn’t a problem for liberals due to the remarkably high level of respect paid by conservatives to both Obama and Clinton.

Well, one must strive to excel.

You just excel at all the wrong things.

Yeah, my life coach sucks…

Which is the worst country for terrorism against us, and why?

Says a lot about you that you wanted to vote for Trump out of pettiness.

The perpetrators of 9/11 came from Saudi Arabia. Explain why SA isn’t on the list.
No terrorists have come from the countries on the list.

Obama did not ban travel, only required extra scrutiny.

I don’t give two shits if you respond, I just want to get all this out, and this thread, which is all about you, seems a better place than hijacking the camping thread.

I was cautioned to be more careful in my wording, when in a thread outside the pit. I acknowledge that I worded it poorly, and personalized it when I did not mean to.

As for “waving” eh, I suppose that was unattributed, but was how I visualized the scene. When I was a kid in boy scouts, (a quarter century ago) we’d have bonfires and run around them waving our troop and patrol flags, and it really was great fun. If I had a bonfire, and a flag I was willing to carry, I’d be all over that shit. So, if you weren’t waving the flag around the bonfire, you were missing out. Not worth carrying a confederate flag for, as I consider flying a confederate flag to be infinitely more disrespectful to the country than kneeling for the anthem, but as you have no qualms with being associated with the flag of treason, you should go at it.

In a thread asking the question “Why are all these activities done primarily by white people?”, you contributed your observation that there was a TOTAL lack of black people, but plenty of confederate flags at your events. That wasn’t an answer to the question. If the question had been, “How do we keep black people from attending our outdoor event?”, then your answer would have been spot on. You took a threadshit in there, really, unless you can explain how your post contributed to or in any way answered the OP’s question.

I mistakenly took you at your word that you were attempting to offer a useful contribution to the thread, that you yourself were puzzled by the lack of minorities at your events, and so made the observation and posed the question that had you considered that the flags promoting slavery and racism might have had anything to do with it. There was nothing insulting in my post, other than my mistakenly not properly defining my use of “you” to indicate the plural you of the group you were with, rather than the way you took it as the singular you. Asimovian was entirely right in his assessment as to how it would be perceived, however, and thanks to his note, I will strive to be a better communicator, and try not to make that mistake again.

So, yeah, here in the pit, where I can call you out as the racists asshole that you are, of course I dialed it up a notch, that’s what the pit is here for, you fucking moron.

I welcome you to start an “ATBM” thread about being insulted in the pit. Mods are always telling us to take any personal grievances here, so that’s where we are.

I voted on the candidates based on their positions, policies, and speeches. I didn’t vote on them based on what some guy somewhere said. I didn’t vote on them because some conservative somewhere didn’t cite his source.

It really does sound like if you had gone through with your initial impulse to turn your ballot in with a mark next to trump, it would have been in order to spite a bunch of people you don’t even really know, rather than for actual superior policy and governance.

That’s why billfish voted for trump, he puts spitting in the eye of liberals above the welfare of the country, but I would have hoped that that was a small minority of voters. To know that you almost succumbed to the temptation to take actions you knew would be harmful to not only your political enemies, but to your political allies and even yourself, even though you claim to act on principle over emotion actually explains quite a bit of the support for trump. What I thought was a minor issue, people putting the desire to hurt others over the desire to help, is much more widespread than I thought. Maybe I was naive or optimistic, but I really did think that the vast majority of people in this country actually wanted the country to do well.

I appreciate your input on this matter, and disabusing me of this notion.
