Ask the conservative asshole

Why would I share such valuable info?

Is nitpicking about who waved the most flags a real issue to you? More than discussing practical healthcare?

You adopt a hate liberal philosophy because they can’t come up with anything practical?

It’s a little bathetic I’d say. bathos - Google Search

We had that for the last two terms.

You got to give Trump that he was waving red flags 24 hours a day.

Yes.

Fuck off. Idiot(s).

Is it really? Or it that you don’t feel like going in depth about a serious issue and would rather nitpick about one you already admitted was a pointless activity? I can respect the latter. I don’t understand the former.

Some of both.

Do YOU want to debate with a few dozen people coming at you about a bunch of different things?

Ask a fairly straightforward question that can be answered in a like manner and I’ll do my best to respond.

No, but then again I didn’t start a thread inviting questions about a bunch of different things. But I thank you for answering my questions so far and totally understand not wanting to think to hard on any one subject. I’ve been giving you the benefit of the doubt in assuming you DID think hard about the subjects before you voted and was trying to gain a self-professed conservative asshole’s insight to at least a couple of very complicated subjects.

As I said, blithering idiot.

I appreciate that.

Snarkyness/assholishnis/the Pit aside…any particular position I hold…well, I’ve thought about it a fair bit.

And I’ll admit there is damn good chance I might be “wrong” about something.

And here we are.

This is a man who doesn’t give a shit about the country. He doesn’t want to discuss the issues. That’s because he doesn’t care about the issues.

Politics for this man is not about the issues. It’s tribalism. If his side wins a point, he’s happy. If the other side wins a point, he’s sad. It doesn’t matter which points make the country better and which make the country worse, if it’s from the other side it’s bad, if it’s from his side it’s good. And it doesn’t matter if the issue was from his side five minutes ago, if the other side starts to support his side’s issue, he’ll flip flop to the other side, because the issues don’t matter one bit to him.

Wow. I’m surprised you still read this board. You are the absolute best example of a shining ball of ignorance. You apparently don’t even know what “fighting ignorance” means, as you don’t expect to learn anything from read the boards, whereas most of us are here to help drive away our ignorance in some fashion. You seem totally unconcerned about actually doing anything positive at all, but instead just making stupid jokes and berate people whose opinions differ from yours. You don’t care at all about trying to improve the country, you just want to get at a certain subgroup who you don’t like.

The worst problem that the world faces is that the birth rates of the (mostly willfully) ignorant are higher than the birth rates of everyone else. Ignorance in general is going to lead to a decline in our civilization one way or another unless we do something about it. Unfortunately, the willfully ignorant are just too willful in their ignorance.

And I haven’t said a thing about conservatism, which I generally approve of. As much as I generally dislike Democratic policies, I have to admit they are more workable than Republican ones that are more likely to have completely unscientific bases. As much as I disliked Hillary Clinton, I recognized her as a competent person who wouldn’t do anything stupid and maintain a positive image of our country, unlike the President we ended up with who had absolutely no good ideas whatsoever and blatantly disrespects people. I don’t see a stand that I dislike and automatically go to the other side - I look at the other side objectively first. If you truly prefer someone who will blatantly lie to you and make obviously empty promises, then, well, I suggest you leave. If you are doing this solely to amuse yourself by watching us smart folks fall over ourselves trying to convert you, I suggest you <redacted due to forum rules>.

Have a terrible day.

Thank you for you in depth and totally correct analysis.

Though to be honest that sounds more like Hillary Clinton to me (hmmm need to see if there are some pantsuits in the closet…)

Do you think conservatives are… conservative?

What I mean is, I grew up believing it was a free country and people could do as they please as long as they weren’t hurting anybody. This translated to me being fairly conservative in my 20s, but it wasn’t long before I realized they wanted to tell everyone else how to live. They wanted to tell gays what they could do, they wanted to tell transgender people what to do, they wanted to tell people how to properly express their patriotism, they wanted to force religion on children through the schools. That’s the social side. On the fiscal side, conservatives are just as free with our money as anyone else. They add just as much pork to bills, they put us in debt in order to give money to the rich. I can never seem to square what conservatives say with what they do.

So, what is it about conservatives that are actually conservative?

What’s the matter, QS? Did I hit a nerve or something?

Thank you for your support.

Fair question.

Keeping a complicated issue simple…yes, on many topics you might label me as a conservative…but when it comes to the politicians who self label as such…yeah, what a fucking bunch of retards.

The only thing is I find their retardedness a bit less worrisome than the liberal flip side of the same effect.

Is there a point to this thread other than to make the Liberals dance?
