Another question, though. How did the other guy end up winning by a dollar? Isn’t wagering a dollar something a person does when they already know their opponent’s score and want to beat them? Did he know what you were going to wager already?

Was the SDMB reference the mouthing after writing down your answer in Final Jeopardy? It looked to me as though it could have been “Hi Opal”.

I was so nervous for you! Good show! It was too funny when you were answering the Great Lakes questions with the other guy’s wrong answers.
The winner knew the most that 5TC could win - double 5TCs current winnings. He just bid enough to bring his winnings a dollar OVER that, so that, if they both answered correctly, he was guaranteed to win.
Ok, three-way simulpost, and I’m last. I feel like I’m on Jeopardy and I got beaten to the buzzer, twice.
