I’ll tell you what disability he doesn’t not suffer from; sexlexia.
I’ve a tape of episode 1 from when it first aired and the shadow is there.
I know that Maurice has subbed for Zapp on at least one occasion. The line, in an episode which I will not reveal, is “You win again, gravity!” It’s clearly Maurice doing a bad Zapp.
Hey! People are answering my questions! i’d be quicker but some of us have jobs that don’t have access to computers.
Anyways, to answer the ones that haven’t been answered yet:
kingpengvin

How does the second alien language work?
I admit I’m not sure, but I do know it took those nerds on the internet a month to decode it, as oppossed to half an hour for the first one.
What is the other Nibblonian feast called?
Feast of a thousand hams.
What is the nickname the animators use for the tool they create extras in audiences with?
The people hose!

He was put on a coin, seen in “Godfellas”
In which episodes does a staff member appear?
The ones where they go to the internet. FTR, David X. Cohen is the random dide Fry dispatches in the online video game.
After which planet does the universe end?
Dog doo 7.
How many parallel universes are there?
Well, originally just the two, regular and cowboy. But then Prof. Farnsworth made Universe B, and then while in Universe B, him and his counterpart made many more, and in turn the Farnsworths in those made more. Of the ones we know about, there is:
Universe A
Cowboy Universe
Universe B (aka Universe 1, aka The Fighting Mongooses)
Greek Universe
Pirate Universe
Leprachaun Universe (faith and begoder!)
Hippie Universe
Bobblehead Universe
Robot Universe
Eyeless Universe
Really Cold Universe
Universe that on Octopus-Like Creature Came Out Of
And the fact that it exists. That might be my favorite exchange in the whole series.
Leela: Who’d have thought that Hell would really exist- and that it would be in New Jersey?
Fry: Actually-
What’s Fry’s grandfather’s name?
Who invented the head-in-a-jar technology?
Oh well, one of my favourite Calculon lines as well. It’s a quality episode
“and cut to a reaction shot”
Genius.
Re: DVD’s
All four seasons (which is all episodes, I think in the US they played them out over 5 seasons) are available on DVD and have been for a while.
I’ve had every Futurama episode aired for well over 6 months now on DVD.
I presumed the US would get them before we did.
Usually not. I know that Buffy, Angel, and Farscape DVDs were available in the UK years before you could buy them in the states. Something to do with syndication rights in the US.
Something I did not know. Thanks for the info.
So it’s only movies and video games and tv shows etc etc that Americans get first?
Ah, but I see you live in Australia. How long did it take Futurama to be exported overseas? Was it enough time for the creative folks to have decided on the Nibbler thing and add it in for foreign runs?
Basically, is there any information out there that confirms that the Nibbler matter had been decided on from before the making of the pilot?
I bet someone can cite interviews. I can’t, although I’ve gotten the impression they had some things planned out years in advance. I can say that I’ve seen reruns of the pilot that do have the shadow, and this: there’s no way it would have been worth the trouble to go back and add the shadow.
I just pulled out my tape from the original airing of the pilot and Nibbler’s shadow is very clearly there when Fry falls over.
Yeah, the DVD’s arrived in the US much later than in the UK. We don’t even have season 4 yet, not till mid August.

His name is Enis.
Miller
Ron Popeill. Also the inventor of Mr.Microphone and the spray-on toupee.
I think you missed a pretty important plot point.
Another Simpsons crossover was when Milhouse met Matt Groening and said, “Hey, would you sign my Bender doll?”.
Are you sure?
Why does Bender say, “I’m going to start my own casino, with blackjack…and hookers. Forget the blackjack.”?
And what is the real quote.
(Anybody answer this)
OK, technically, Fry is his own grandpa, but really, as far as anyone but the planet express crew and the niblonians know, it’s Enis. And, depending on how time travel and paradoxes work in that universe, it’s possible Enis was once Fry’s grandpa, then Fry took over. It’s a very confusing scenario.

The real quote is either “I’m gonna build my own amusement park…with blackjack, and hookers!” or “I’m gonna build my own lunar lander…with blackjackm and hookers! In fact, forget the lander and the blackjack!”
The first quote is after getting thrown out of the lunar park, the second is after fry and leela don’t let him in the lunar lander.
And in the Futurama episode where NNYC is threatened by a giant ball of garbage from the 20th century, Fry finds a pile of Bart Simpson plush dolls on the surface of the trashsteroid.
