I stopped posting and stayed away entirely for a bit, then I lurked for a bit, and now I’m back posting. The part I can’t tell you is that page views have been down, so the administration begged me to return to pump up the ad revenue again (this may not actually be true).
So anyway, there’s been a lot of unchecked liberal douchery going on around here lately, so I’ll do my best to keep fighting the good fight like I’ve always done.
Oh dear, I am so glad to see you. There have been some poor people sniveling about, complaining that they’re “cold” and “hungry.” Please make them go away.
Welcome back, RR. I think you add something to the boards in a sort of “I don’t necessarily agree with him but it sure is fun to watch the threads fly” kind of way.
Ah yes, the classic conflation of “desire for small government” with “contempt for poor people.” Just one of the many hallmarks of the modern liberalis douchicus. After all, if the government doesn’t provide something, then how will it be provided? The government should do everything, right? If someone doesn’t want the government to do something, then that means they don’t want that thing done, right?
In a word, no. Thank you for so quickly proving the need for my presence here.
Mainly the contempt you regard people with when discussing having difficulties finding employment, or suitably-paying employment, and your predictable, oh-so-helpful advice that goes along the lines of, “Stop being bad at life, poor person.”
Just as bonus material, I’m about to make you fall out of your chair, young man: Some people who prefer small government are poor. But enough about that; this conversation needs to focus on what’s really important, that is, the pruno.
You have misunderstood those posts. I showed contempt for whiny and entitled people (who may also have been poor). I don’t have any contempt for poor people as such.
Welcome back - in an “oh great, now I can see how he plays into the Capitalist-Pig, Objectivist/Randian cliche’s and stereotypes all over again” sorta way…
