I’ll second that. I disagree with many of his positions, but this thread has gone much better than I expected. Gotta say, the Kid is handling himself pretty damn well so far.
Why did you skip the question about how/when/where you came to be diagnosed with Asberger’s?
Could you be more specific? How would you define “civic duty”?
I’d define it as rocking that booty…but I am not Curtis, and I am often irreverent like that, so ignore me.
Have you ever been to another country? If so, which one(s) and how long.

Patriotic* American, and patriotic** Canadian
- Assuming that patriotic includes constantly ripping on the States for not being the country that I think it should be, and could be.
**if patriotic Canadian weren’t a contradiction in terms.
Pretty damn well for a kid I guess. He hasn’t given a single answer of substance, but I certainly do think he’s come off as intelligent.
Given your definition of patriotism and nationalism, does the following quote make you patriotic or nationalist?
Because I believe that despite all of America’s faults it is the best nation in the world and the best hope for the improvement of mankind.
Do you have a best friend at school?
What do you do for fun besides post here?
Are you close to your parents, and what are they like? (I assume patriotic, Christian, intellectual, conservative). Do they also read the SDMB and what do they think of it?

Why on earth would you want America (or the world) to become Christian? Never mind; don’t answer that.
Why on earth wouldn’t any Christian want the world to become Christian? Jesus is certainly quoted as encouraging us to work towards that, whether or not we could succeed.

So much for respecting other walks of faith…
The above is not the type of Christianity that I was taught, nor it is one I could possibly advocate or believe in. Evangelism is one of the biggest stumbling blocks of Christianity–the effrontery and arrogance of it is a bit mind boggling. I am not about to hijack this thread or start another one to futilely debate this issue with someone who calls himself Friar Ted, so I won’t post more.
Curtis, first I apologize for my earlier quip about not coming back to answer questions. Clearly you are willing to do so.
My questions: In your view, how does “intellectual” differ from “intelligent”? Is it possible to be one and not the other?
In terms of bridging the gap between the ability to read and recite from various philosophical and theological texts, and actually using such knowledge to inform your own unique perspectives and ideas, where do you see yourself at your current point of mental development?
You keep saying that patriotism, to you, means “loving your country and doing your civic duty”. Can you be more specific? What does loving your country mean to you? What do you think YOUR civic duty is?
I think you are trying to answer the questions people are asking, but you’re also getting a lot of repeats because you’re not really giving much in the way of details. I’m still unsure of how you, personally, define most of the things you say you are.
Whatever possessed you to choose as a moniker the name of a general who appeared to be a taco short of a combo platter?
Curtis, as an intellectual Christian, why do you think God chose to create people, then create a place of eternal torment for people, then create a rule that everyone goes to that place after death, then send his son (that is also himself) to earth, then provide an exception to the eternal torment rule for those who believe that his son is the messiah and died for their sins? Is there anything in the above that is intellectually troubling to you?

Because he’s a dick.
Curtis, I’d like to see you respond to Dio’s remark about lust. How is it wrong or a sin to feel something that is uncontrollable?

When you discover something that’s really cool and awesome, you want to share it with everybody you meet. Like Amway!
Ok. This question is not for me, okay? But my friend Brittney knows this girl Madison who’s in third period French with Olivia and she want me to ask you if you think her friend Katie is cute.
- Check here if yes.
- Check here if no.
Wait, is Jack Batty in 8th grade too?
(That truly seemed uncalled for, in my opinion!)
Economic sloth, falling to competition against China, India, and Brazil, massive tax burdens.
Can you put a number to ‘massive tax burdens’? Do you know the tax burdens are in ‘social democratic nations’ and the tax burdens in the US?
Why do you believe in god?
Why are you specifically Christian? Why aren’t you, say, Jewish or Muslim or Hindu, etc.?
What do you mean by conservative? Are there any conservative policies you disagree with? If so, what?
Also, after imposing your democratic world government on the planet, what would you do if the majority of people voted that they wanted to have separate nations again?
