ChrisP, Drain is Swedish, but I don’t know about STH. The most commonly used abbreviation for Stockholm is STHLM, not STH.

I’m from the U.S. but I think there are several great bands from Sweden everyone should hear:
Opeth, In Flames, Dark Tranquility, and Amon Amarth are my favorites.
and not that it is related but… from Finland there is Sentenced, Amorphis, and Nightwish.
It is a shame that these great bands aren’t that well known here in the states.
not trying to disagree but……. From interviews with the band they said they had to add something to Drain because there was already a band in the US with the name Drain. They would have had to pay them to use the name so they added S.T.H. – according to the band members it is an abbreviation for Stockholm. Saw them in concert, got the t-shirt! Oh – and if you haven’t seen these women THEY ARE HOT!!!

**Opengrave:**Well they just made it up. I suppose you could abbreviate Stockholm into Scklm if you wanted to but Sthlm is the standard. There is a band named Teddybears STHLM because there already was a band called Teddybears.
