Asshat Ohio State fans

So, your football team beats Michigan, thereby earning a trip to the Fiesta Bowl in Tempe Arizona, where they will get their asses handed to them by Miami.

So do you celebrate in a calm and rational manner?

Fuck no, that would be the civilized thing to do.

you have to overturn and set fire to at least 6 cars and riot until all hours of the early morning.

You guys have been watching those motivational tapes from British soccor hoolignas again, haven’t you?

Asshats.

If it were up to me, because of your little riot, Ohio State would have automatically become ineligible for the Fiesta Bowl.

That woul have been something to riot about.

Well, I gotta tell you, I’m damn sure not proud of the rioting thing. Then again, I wasn’t down on Chittenden tipping over cars and burning couches last night, either.

It’s not like we’re all asshats.

We also aren’t the only campus that had riots yesterday.

Jessica2,

According to that news story, none of the other incidents involved anything that occured outside the stadium, which was certainly not the case at Ohio State.

First of all, find a different word. I mean, “asshat”? Go back to Fark, dicklicker.

Second, while I haven’t read about these particular riots, usually, the majority of the offenders are NOT students. Yes, OSU is big, with 50K+ students… but Columbus is even bigger, with over a million people. Try to wrap your little brain around the fact that it’s NOT just students (not even primarily students) who are lighting cars on fire. Why penalize the school for the actions of the city? I’ll provide links, if you’d like, although it would require signing up to our school paper’s website.

Third, I want an especially contrite apology from you after Miami gets “upset” by the Bucks. That’s even assuming Miami can get past VT (which is, granted, pretty likely).

In other words, get off of your Horse of Righteousness and lick its crusty ass. Asshat

quixotic78,

Feeling a wee bit defensive are we?

I’m willing to bet a rather large sum of money that the vast majority of the rioters in columbus last night were in fact students from Ohio State University.

So, in conclusion, suck my fat one.

Asshat.

PS. Why penalize the school for the actions of the city?

As I stated above, it’s highly likely that it was OSU student asshats who were responsible for the riots, so they should be punished. The fact that OSU is located in Columbus is Columbus’s problem, not mine.

Fuck that midwest shit. Who won the Harvard-Yale Game?

I, for one, am glad to see a return to the Woody Hayes era riots! It’s a tradition, folks! When I was a kid growing up in Ohio, they’d always show the shops surrounding the campus boarding up the storefronts the night before the big OSU-Michigan game, because they knew, no matter who won or lost, there was gonna be a riot after the game! Ah, now if we could only get them to bring back Roman style bloodsports, I’d be a happy man! (Let’s see Steve Austin go up against a trained gladiator in a fight to the death!)

from the article provided by Jessica2

I quote this to show how lame State is. Two years ago when ECU handed State their red-shirted asses on a platter, we tore down the goalposts in victory. However, we did not need to break anyone’s legs to prove our superiority. We merely tore down goalposts and drank ourselves into a stupor.

Why in the world is the deputy in this photo (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/021123/168/2qw14.html) using a hose for pepper spray?

When you’re faced with 105,000 drunken fans who want to tear down the goalposts, what else are you gonna use?

A flamethrower might be nice.

Harvard won 20-13

Damn straight. Those hoolignas got us all licked.

thats not a hose, he has a big container, the think that you are thinking is one of those expandable clubs.

Umm, so athletic tournaments will now be decided by “highly likely” unsupported assumptions of random assholes online? Shit, man, I could have been disqualifying opponents for four years if I’d known that.

Defensive? I feel more like I’m on the offensive. When some unoriginal shit-for-brains decrees from On High that the “vast majority of the rioters in columbus [sic] last night were [sic again] in fact students from Ohio State University,” I can’t help but tear into him. I’m a little bit handicapped because The Lantern, our school paper, won’t have their issue published until Monday. However, in the interim, perhaps you could peruse this local NBC link. It’s not much, but maybe you’ll decide to offer a preemptive apology. I know, Daddy’s too busy to help you read more than one paragraph, so I’ll quote the relevant part:

I know math, much like reading, isn’t your strong suit (but you’re getting lots of gold stars in drooling, rest assured), so I’ll give you a hand. Four out of 48 is 8.33%… not a “vast majority” last time I checked.

As far as idiocy goes, “That’s gold, Jerry! GOLD!” Hell, why not penalize the state for the outrageous behavior of 48 people? Actually, I bet they’re all Americans, too! I think the US should forfeit all Olympic medals they won last year!

I tell ya what. If you stop now, I’ll help you remove your head from your ass. Then again, if you continue, I’m going to tear you a new asshole, which could open up worlds of fun in rectal exploration. Tough decision you’ve got there.

Hey Dipfuck, I mean quixotic78. Do you think you could be any more of an asshole?
I mean you are not helping the argument that football fans at your school are not assholes when you make assholish comments.

Fuckin’ duh!

This is so sad–I hate when a few idiots end up smearing the name of a school this way, and marring a victory. When MSU had riots a few years ago, it took forever for the bad jokes to die down, and I know it hurt their position among the policymakers and legislators in the state.

At MSU they ended up acquiring videotape of the “festivities” and they found and prosecuted several people. The ones who were students protested loud and long, about how unfair it was to be charged. Because hey, burning stuff is just good clean fun, I guess. I have a little tip for anyone who gets a little excited: burning, looting, and breaking shit is WRONG. Being charged up over a sporting event doesn’t change that.

Reminds me of Univ of Maryland basketball fans AND students from recent years. You’ll never heard of a Duke fan rioting in the street after an undefeated football season.

That’s very interesting, Cranky, but I don’t think Ohio State is going to have that problem. The MSU jokes were made by the UM contingent. Ohio’s policymakers and legislators, being the paragons of virtue and football fans that they are, are not going to slight OSU in favor of the U. of Toledo, Bowling Green State, U. of Akron, Cleveland State, Youngstown State, Miami of Ohio, Ohio U., Central State or my dear alma mater, Kent State. Ohio’s legislators are all going to be angling for Fiesta Bowl tickets, not worrying about sending more funding up to Kent State.

I say this as an Ohioan and a Buckeye fan, but the sad fact is that some of my fellow Buckeye fans ARE boorish jerks.

Duke’s had an undefeated football season? snicker, snort

Spaz, a diehard Duke fan but only in basketball

Cuntface,

Erm, I mean Quimsucker, no wait,…quixotic78, you’re not a little bit handicapped. You are VERY handicapped.

Feeling sexually inadequate are we?

Apparently so.
