Astronaut Chris Hadfield on ISS sings collaboration w/ Barenaked Ladies

I’ve been a big BNL fan for almost exactly 20 years but haven’t listened to them much since Steve Page left the band. However,this collaboration they’ve done with Astronaut Chris Hadfieldis pretty great. He’s a pretty talented musician in his own right and this song, “I.S.S. (Is Somebody Singing)” is pretty inspiring and catchy.

Is this the first time a person in space has performed like this with someone on Earth?

I’m surprised that a full size guitar was allowable as his personal cargo. I had no idea the Cupola doubled as a iso booth.
