Guess I still got it, but I’m pretty nervous.
What do you have to complain about? I figure if I hadn’t played with my **Q-8 off **[twice] and had stayed in with my Ace-x instead of folding it pre-flop in that one hand, I wouldn’t be where I am now. [To say nothing of getting beat with the A-Q to pocket 4s, and again with pocket 7s.]
But, last night was Red’s there’s no two ways about that. As I said, that game got so tight at one point last night, I don’t think I ever saw anything like it. The question for me is not Red at this point, it’s figuring how many hands Mental stone cold bluffed on.
In other news, Cookies is getting in on the fray? Is she better off or worse off for joining, after the slaughter that was last night?

Dude, it’s a “race”: any time you have a pocket pair against two higher cards, it is always going to be close to 50/50.

and, in a game that had me playing Queen Eight off, it would seem a lot of the book was wrong for the game.

I fucking hate poker. I played a 300 + 20 play money 9 seat SNG at stars tonite. I got 93 in bad position, which I folded. Flop was 993.
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Due to hardware problems on my desktop, the poker server has been temporarily moved to my MacBook (running under CrossOver.) As all account info is stored locally, everyone will need to make a new account. I will need to spend some more time making sure I’ve got it listed on the Poker Mavens server list; if not, I will send a direct link to everyone through AIM.
