Guess what the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington is doing?
I’ll be there. Will you?
Buffy is a show I’ve always wanted to see more of, I like it whenever I watch. I can’t make this, unfortunately - at my soon-to-be-new job, I won’t be done until 6 and there’s really no way I could get from NYC to Huntington in time. But I’m telling my non-Doper friends about it.
I second that, substituting a different word for “show.”
Y’know something, I’ve been in lurk mode for quite a while now, and I was wondering what would bring me back to posting. Not only did I love Buffy, and not only do I know a fair amount of the words to the songs, but I work in Huntington.
I can’t say for sure yet if I’ll be able to go, but I’ll sure be making an effort!
I was wondering what ever became of you.
yeah - and you wouldn’t want to ruffle any feathers by asking to leave early in your first (second?) week. Altho, if you could somehow skip lunch and leave at 5, you could make the 5:35 which gets to Huntington at 6:34… (just trying to be helpful) You could tell them it’s a prior commitment that cannot be rescheduled - like a doctor’s appointment. Only the Scroogiest of employers would deny something like that…
As much fun as this sounds like - I’m a big Rocky Horror fan and I love enthusiastic movie crowds - it’s just not worth it. I wouldn’t want to ask to leave early on my fifth day, couldn’t leave very early anyway, and then there’s the effort of going from the city to Huntington and then back home.
And, if I may piggyback, they’re doing it at the Music Box in **Chicago **- January 12 and 13 at midnight! Here’s a mention, but the Music Box website seems to be down.
you may want to start your own thread - Midwest fans might not read an east coast thread
Is this a touring thing? Is it coming to San Francisco? I’ve been preparing my whole life for this! Or at least, the part of my life since I put the OMWF soundtrack on my iPod and listen to it all the time.
Put Parkway’s schedule on your browser and check it often. They did one there already it seems, and will likely do it again. (Also: Browncoats on Dec 28.)
I don’t know if it’s a single touring organizer, or a bunch of simultaneous geniuses.
bump
So, are any LI Doper Buffy fans besides me going? We should all wear something to ID us to each other - like a wrinkly forehead? <snrk>
