August Londope -- plan now, and avoid the rush

Bwahaha! Sounds like a plan. It could get rather, interesting. Especially seeing as it’ll be about 4am over there

but it would be narrowband access :frowning:

if we could just find some WiFi access…

its crazy but it might just work…

At which point, everything explodes! KABOOM!!

— UPDATED EVENT DETAILS —

LonDope 2003: Son of Brum

12pm: Shopping As An Art Form by The Doper Ladies

2pm: How to Win At Rounders by The Doper Lads

3pm: Break for Beer

6pm: Drunken War-Chalking: How to find a Wifi Network with a Pringles Tube and Laptop By Garius

6:30pm: How to Help Someone Arrested for Hacking by the Doper Lawyers

DISCLAIMER: Comments intended in jest. I’m not really suggesting the 6pm activity since it is DEFINITELY illegal (hence the 6:30pm consequences) and would be doubly stupid for me to do since it would cost me my cushy government job - Garius

Shopping will take MUCH MUCH longer.

really? wow.

garius, what you don’t realise is that shopping truly is an art form. Just as it takes more than two hours to create a true masterpiece, it takes more than two hours to find just the right item(s) to buy. I spent two days looking for an outfit for a wedding a couple of weeks ago.

Oh, and you really ought to change the second item to either:

2pm: How to Win At Rounders by The Doper Girls

or

[I2pm: How to Lose At Rounders* by The Doper Lads

Call me an unreconstructed post-modern feminist if you will, but I’m not into this whole girls vrs boys thing. Mixed teams is what it’s about. And not just because I want to be on Steve’s team for the quiz.

unreconstructed post-modern feminist, I agree.

I’m happy as long as I’m on upmf’s team.

but surely its just:

1 GOTO shop

2 PICKUP clothingItem

3 IF clothingItem NEQ goodValue GOTO 1

4 TRY ON clothingItem

5 IF clothingItem NEQ fit GOTO 2

6 BUY clothingItem

7 GOTO Pub

I mean come on… its not like you are shopping for power tools or anything!

garius, when it comes to shoes and make-up, it takes me forever.

I actually prefer to shop alone, so I don’t feel rushed. If you’ve got some place you’d rather be, then off with you! I like to browse. I think men (and many women) don’t have the browsing gene. They know what they want. They get it. They leave.

I like the wandering around part. But by all means, you are all free to stay in the pub pursuing your life-long ambition of visiting every pub in London.

Funnily enough, I was just thinking about asking ianzin if he wanted to contribute some fiendishly difficult quiz questions. Or, failing that, I’ll include some questions about things on his website. Start studying now, folks…

If I dredge the ancient pre-Cambrian memory banks, then perhaps that’s not the very first time a woman has offered to do whatever I tell her for half an hour, but in any case I’m as sure as my grey hairs that it will be the very last. My thanks to the wondrous, fragrant and delightfully boozy Sir Doris for this pleasant and truly mind-boggling notion.

jr8 I can provide fiendish quiz questions if you like, but I’m sure there are lots of good sources. As for referring to my website, the most interesting thing on it at the moment is a photo taken last Saturday evening which features our very own beautiful Tir Tinuviel. It’s in the News & Chat section. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post the URL because technically my site is classed as commercial. But I think interested parties will find it if they want to. Or some enterprising soul could always lift it and re-post it somewhere else for all to see.

Speaking of photos of Tir, she went to an Ann Summers party last night and I’ve seen the photos. Oh. My. God.

Ack! the image…it burns :stuck_out_tongue:

Those photos are rather amusing. Try looking at them whilst completely wasted.

FireKat? heeeeeeee!!!

heh heh… that’s just the half of it, you didn’t see the ones I wasn’t allowed to put online for legal reasons…
Oh, and Garius that story was simply beautiful, only two points though, one: I don’t start off small, it’d be arms not fingers that were being broken… and two: how’d you know about the Ox thing, I thought I had kept that pretty quiet?

Ian, very nice publicity shots!

Just one question, re: picture 2. When did you starting modelling for Marks and Spencers?

:stuck_out_tongue:

pfff mindless brute force. where’s the style???

The ‘Style’ is in what I do with the severed limbs afterwards… plus my technique for breaking and ripping is kinda funky…

wikkik!

Tir, you have no class…

CRACK

…argh
