Aaaww… poor garius. I’d rush over to help you, but I’m afraid of the insane beenie baby hurling woman…
you’d be even more scared if you’d seen her Lady Macbeth
Not all the perfume in Arabia would sweeten her hand?
Nay. nor canst the minister pluck from her memory a rooted sorrow or cleanse the stuff’d bosom of that perilous stuff which weighs upon her heart.
If he could i would applaud him to the very echo, that should applaud again.
Out out damned spot!
We can all see you. There is such a thing as email, you know
Damn!

Seems it’s cheaper for me to fly from Galway to Luton, instead of Shannon to Gatwick (Shannon is a good distance away).
Is it hard to get from Luton Airport to London? Which is further from London, Luton or Gatwick? How much would each trip cost (roughly).
The Galway-Luton flight is about 60Euros more, but after paying the shuttle to get to Shannon, it works out to be the same price.
So, what I’m saying is…where is Luton?
Annie
Luton is way north of London, Gatwick is way south.
If you can get a flight to Heathrow or London City, then your much closer into town. I know Standstead is only about 45 mins to an hour away from me, but then it’s and extra 45 mins to an hour to get into central London from Barnet. I’ve never flown from Gatwick, cos it’s just too far south (for me), and I’ve never flown from Luton, cos it’s further north than Stanstead.
As for which out of Gatwick or Luton is better situated or connected for you for you, I dont really know, I’d have to ask my dad, I’ll find out for you tonight.
Yes, my firehose often frightens women.
Really? Well, in that case, how’re you doing?
Annie,
I spoke to my dad, he reckons Gatwick would be a better option for you, as it has the Gatwick Express which takes 30 mins to get to Victoria.
AFAIK Luton doesn’t have an express train.
Tir and Annie.
That Gatwick Express is a one of the loftier con tricks perpetrated by the airport and the rail network. It is usually horrifically over-crowded and they frequently cancel scheduled runs on a whim. The train may actually run on the tracks for 30 minutes, but getting to it and on it at the Gatwick end can take forever, and getting off it and out of Victoria Stn at the other end can also take forever.
When you arrive at Luton, you walk out and catch a free bus to the rail station. At the rail stn you can get reasonably frequent trains which take you as far into London as you want to go.
I’m not saying which is best. I’m just saying it’s not quite as cut and dried as one might think. I’ve used both services, and I agree on balance that for a furriner then the Gatwick option perhaps has the edge because of the simpler direct connection to Victoria, which takes you right to the heart of town. But Luton is a lot quieter, a lot less crowded and a perfectly viable way to go.
Thanks, Tir and Ianizin, for the travel info. I’ll probably booking later this month or early next month.
Luton dope checking in. Count me in.
I fly into London quite a lot, and though the fastest route is definitely the express from Heathrow, it’s an astronomical rip-off (and the walk from the terminal is interminable). Also, I don’t know how well served Dublin is by Gatwick. My recommendation is Stansted, which is only 45 mins by train from Liverpool St. and the tube.
I’m going to contact a bucket shop to see if they’ve got any ideas. I’ll also be booking a hotel (at least for one night, hopefully, I will also stay at Francesca’s place a few days as well.
Really? I haven’t invited you. Who said you could stay?
Fine, then!
Fine! See if I bring you cheese or bottles of wine! See if I got to the Honeypot! I’ll go v shopping with someone else then!
V shopping! You crack me up.
