I heard the story on the local news but didn’t realize it was so close! They shot that gator less than half a mile from my house.
You know, one of my ducks went missing in mid-September, makes you wonder!
How about 36 'gators over 7 feet and 30 'gators just under 7 feet in one hunting weekend? They caught two which were over 13 feet and one over 12 feet. I bet the tails were bigger than your 4-foot lizard.

I’m amazed the DNR okayed this-- I hear they issues citations for just about anything. I remember a few years back, a pike or muskie chomped on a guy’s toe, and he had to go to an ER to get it off, and the DNR gave him a ticket for taking it out of season.
