Freyr (and any others who are wondering), the Chuy’s in question is the Barton Springs location, so that we can walk to congress street bridge afterward to watch the bats.
This is the original Chuy’s location. It’s also the one in which the Bush twins got in trouble.
As for starting time, I’m not sure. I’d say around 5ish, but that’s just personal preference.
Since I’ve never been to one of these, how do I tell who you guys are? Would it be bad form to go to every table in the restaurant and ask “Are you a Doper?”
Hugh, here is Dallas, we call ourselves The Addams Family. That attracts enough attention that the staff keeps track of us, as well they should. They also hide us in a corner somewhere. That’s good thinking on their part, too.

Whoever is making the reservation for us, make sure it’s an indoor table. If the weather continues its present pattern (and the Weather Channel says it probably will) we’ll get rain for the day.
I dunno if I can see the bats fly, as AGLIFF (Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival) is showing a couple features I want to catch. I may have to duck out after a while. We’ll see!
