Definititely wear a hat
I’ll be there, th’ good lord willin’ and th’ creek don’t rise.
[SUB]Where the hell did THAT come from?[/SUB]
You’re obviously channeling my grandfather.
How that happened is a mystery.
We’ll keep this on the front page for another day.
Today’s the day. Any late comers checking in? Remember, we’re The Adams Family!
I hope I’m not a late comer. Presently getting it together for a little road trip.
I guess first person there asks for a table for 10 possibly 12 people
And says it’s for the Adams family (yeah, yeah, I’m moving).
Dang. Goshdarnit. Dagnabit. Grrrrrr…even.
I will have to make this a pass this time, I’m sorry to say. Due to some unforeseen financial and logistical issues that came up yesterday, Mr Bear and I won’t be coming up after all. And son can’t make it because his car was broken into last night, and he’s trying to get a new window and the turn signals and such operational. Probably take all his spare money too. Bluebear is at the end of Rush Week at Schreiner, so no telling what she’s doing today. :dubious:
Have fun, y’all. I’d love to see some pics of everyone; especially that black velvet hat with a purple feather in it.
Hugs to all. Slurp a 'rita for me, someone. No salt. Frozen, of course. And wave at the bats. One or two might be a relative of mine.
purrplebear, slumping off sadly…
Sorry to hear that, Purrplebear.
I’ll head over early, about 3:30 or so, to put my name on the list for a table for 10.
First back? It was great meeting everyone! The epic battle for the table may never be forgotten… I hope Darth Nader and his mom have a safe trip from here on. It was too bad you couldn’t stay long, El Elvis Rojo, but at least I got to meet you. Lots of fun talking to everybody and putting some faces to names… I can’t wait for the next one.
Looking forward to photos!
And we had bats this time, lots o’ bats
I had a lot of fun meeting meeting Mearl Dox, Emilyforce, Mr. Emilyforce, Darth Nader and Palikia, and it was great to see Ringo and Tapioca again.
Not to mention seeing the bats again, which was great.
I’m always up for the next one, but I suggest whoever schedules it asks ahead whether they’ll seat incomplete parties.
I only met them once. Damn typos. :smack:
This may well be my most costly post as I sit here in my hotel room struggling to get $9.95 worth out of Lodgenet. This post has already: a.) been under constructiion for 35 minutes, b.) accidentally ordered me a Bruce Willis movie.
Well, forget paragraph spaces.
It was great to see familiar faces (I think I recognized a couple of the bats) and greet some new ones. The UT-Arkansas traffic ate my lunch, so I missed Elvis (next time, pal).
As Fionn observed, we really had bats his time, so the Batdope traditin can continue.
Darth Nader and Palikia bought me a drink at a PIANO BAR (it was loud) where we met an orange idiot after the larger group broke up. Thanks, y’all.
I can’t go on. You win, Lodgenet.
You wouldn’t know it by reading this thread, but I was there, too.
Sheesh.
How many times must I smack myself in one thread?
It was very nice to see Lightnin’ again too.
Hi y’all! I gather from reading the above that nobody but mr emilyforce got sick? I s’pose he just can’t take chiles relleños.
Very cool to meet you and I wish we could have stayed longer!
No reports of sickness here. Maybe the bats have healing powers.
I found out I was having a crohn’s flareup when I got home, but I don’t think that was the chili’s fault. Gah, I hope he feels better now!
