Automotive adornments - an observational MMP

*Hongree *- why didn’t the Breakfast Fairy show up?? Stoopit fairy…

My sweetie is up - maybe we’ll go out to eat.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. Everybody else is still asleep the buncha slugabeds!

I am surprisingly less hungover than I thought I’d be. However, I only did three tequila shots. I was a good bear.

Yeah, MOOOOOOM where is that breakfast fairy! What a slacker.

Nava I’ll fry ya some okra.

doggio three tequilas and no floor.

Happy fishin’ BBBobbio!

We have a 60 percent chance of rain late afternoon into the evenin’. I hope it happens. We’ll be through with pool time by then. Speakin’ of which, I bought a new pool toy. It’s a floating fountain. It’s plugged into one of the returns and shoots several streams of water all fountain like about four feet up. On the box it says it will cool the water as much as ten degrees after runnin’ a couple of hours and I do believe it did. Plus it’s fun to float up under it and let it sprinkle all over. I am such a child sometimes. I’d float up under it and go "WHEEEEEE!!! everytime.
-swampbear ( smiley abuser)

Good morning, all! Stayed up too late knitting again.

We’re supposed to be getting rain, but it doesn’t look much different from yesterday, when we barely got sprinkles. So I should be able to get more work done in the garden, at least. Yay!

Gotta get ready for church. Back after a while…

Afternoon all. Happy belated Independence Day!

News of the Week - I am being headhunted! Just when I get all settled and comfortable in my job, with nice (absolutely normal) colleagues, no head-cases, a good salary and nice hours, some fool has to turn up and offer me a job as Head of Legal for a new, start-up investment company (with BIG financial backing), with a salary and benefits package that’s about 50% more than I’m on now, but with more responsibility and longer hours (for the first 6 months, after which it should even out to the usual 8-9 hours per day, 5 days a week). Aaaggghhhhh! Don’t mess with my head!!! I know, I know, there are plenty of people around who wish they had this problem, but I am torn between following what was my career dream and ensuring that I still have enough time for my family. If I was a man, it wouldn’t even be an issue - I would take the new job. But, I’m not, and HRH is still only 2 years old. Sigghhhhh. Just ignore me - I’ll be over there in the corner scratching my head and wondering what the hell to do!

ETA: {{{FCM and FCD}} I Hope FIL is okay!

Hugs to the In-laws… And everyone else.

Oh, and when I was little I had a pet goat. She had to go live on a farm, though, after she decided to head butt my grandma. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I’d like to treat you all to dinner with the $38.50 that I made at the show. :dubious: Although I might be spending that on aloe for my sunburn.

Morning, caffeinated, off to work. It’s threatening to rain.

Dotty, I’d go for the one with the max HRH time.

Good morning everyone. I’m up, the son is up, but hubby is still abed.

I’m sorry to read about your FiL. I really hope he’s on the road to healing, FCM.

I’m sorry about your MiL too, Bobbio. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly. Oh, I have to admit, I snerked when I read the story about the horsebiting incident. I’m sure it hurt, but dang, what a set-up.

We’re supposed to head of to Northwest Trek today. It’s a wildlife park. We’re supposed to leave at ten, but I don’t think that’s happening.

Our BBQ turned out nicely. The ribs were great, as was the pasta salad and the corn on the cob.

The sun is shining here, but it doesn’t feel as hot as it has these last several days. Thank goodness.

Good luck with the dilemna, Dotty. You have to do what feels right to YOU.

I’ll bet you could feed us all for that amount, Pie… After all, you’re a creative cook. But sorry the craft show wasn’t more of a success.

Nice dilemma to have, Dotty. But, as Taters said, do what feels right.

Went out for brunch and am home now, knitting a bit before going out into the garden. Need to plant some daylilies that have been waiting to get into the ground and then finish splitting out the daylilies I brought home from church. Might fill in with a few more annuals. Then I need to mulch some.

Back after a bit.

Looks like **FCD **is going to go to FL on Tues. With luck, his dad will be home again by then, so he can be a real help to his folks. Which leaves me home alone to get ready for nephew’s visit. I know he’ll feel better when he gets to see his dad.

Dreary, cool day - not even 70 yet.

I really should take the trash and recycling. It’s a short ride and I’ve only got 2 cans of trash and one bag of cans and papers. That’ll be the big excitement, huh?

It could be like the Next Food Network Star event! Feed the MMP for under $38.50!! Of course we’re only going to limit it to people who actually, post, though, right? No lurkers allowed!

I’ve missed TVMan this weekend. I’m glad to be here today and headed to a friend’s house in Pennsylvania in a little bit even though I am tired.

dotty just chimin’ in to say, do what’s right for you.

Pool time is over. It’s cloudin’ up and hopefully will rain shortly. Everybody’s gone and I’m all alone in da cave. Guess I’ll go do some defilthifyin’.

Where did the day go? I spent most of the morning watching Wimbledon. Then to the store. I’m boiling a chicken for later in the week, and I’m gonna make meatballs and sketties for dinner.

Mr Rebo installed a permanent doggie door! They love it! I do too, I can get my fat ass through the sliding glass door much easier when it’s not half-size! Poor guy about sweated his butt off, though. PLEASE let it rain this week!

Gotta go cook a little… be back later.

N.O.T. and onions are cooking up, broccoli is standing by, steaks are marinated and waiting to go under the broiler. Supper will be teh YUM!!!

Trash and recycling has gone to the convenience center. Critters have been fed. Dehumidifier has been emptied. I’m so productive. Yeah.

*<sigh> * I did so enjoy my week off…

The bathrooms, kitchen and master bedroom are clean. Go me. There’s a line of tstorms on the way. Time to clean the livin’ room.

Reporting in from Cow Country!

We had some very tasty buffalo chicken and bbq chicken for dinner and a HUGE chocolate chip cookie for dessert. (Yes, I did make the food. Why do you ask?)

Now I’m ready for a nap.

Buffalo… tastes just like chicken!

Ok, livin’ and dinin’ rooms done. Gonna dust and vacuum the guest bedroom and the study and that’s it.

Oh and the high tomorrow is only goin’ to be 83 degrees Amurrkin! Might have to bring out the woolies!

mmmmmmm supper was good. Italian dressing is a good steak marinade.

Dishwasher is doing its thing. I’ll have ice cream in a little while, then pack lunches for tomorrow. Maybe some knitting. Just winding down.

Can’t believe tomorrow is Monday already.

I have a single bumper sticker, a very well-designed logo for the karate dojo I attend. I don’t intend to get any more, but I really liked the way it looked and it’s something I’m happy to promote.

Da cave is spiffed. That is all.

Home, dogs walked, beer pored, a brief respite before work.

swampy, wanna keep spiffing untill you’ve done my place?
