Ewwww.
That picture makes me sad because he looks seriously abused or something. Deformed? I mean, here’s a picture of what the breed looks like normally:
What the hell happened to that little guy?
 Oh sweet Jesus. That was so much worse than I had imagined.
I’m guessing he’s just old. His skin is dark and leathery from being in the sun and most of his hair has fallen out. His teeth look a little decayed and they’ve moved into a sort of overbite. And his eyes have clouded over with cataracts. All perfectly normal for an old dog. Dogs don’t age gracefully. And when you start with something as strange looking as a Chinese crested…
Well, I asked for it…
He wouldn’t be quite so bad if not for the awful skin. And the teeth. And the eyes. And the hair. Ah, who am I trying to kid? That is one repulsive canine.
Plus they took the picture when he was scratching his face, so he’s kind of snarling.

Great OG that dog is ugly! The poor thing! He’ll haunt my nightmares that dog will!
shudders
You mean that dog looks that way naturally? (I mean, just because he’s old?) Shit, I was thinking he was horribly burned!
Poor thing, but AAAAHHHH!!!
" I’ll swallow your soul! I’ll swallow your soul! "- L’ill Sam, Evil Dog II
Ahhh, poor little old man. Here is a link to a photo of what he undoubtedly looked like in his prime:

I don’t think he has been abused, although he does need some moisturizer for his skin. I would surmise that the eye has a cateract, common in older dogs. Toy breed tend to lose teeth as they age, my “old man” pomeranian just had his dental, he turned 6 years old last month, and he had his first three teeth extracted, all in the front lower jaw, so now when he smiles at me he has a jack-o’-lantern grin! Ya gotta love the old timers!
I obviously, have a preference for fur, as my breed has a double coat. I will admit that, while when I was first discovering the Chinese Crested I recoiled in distaste. Then I decided that the powder puffs were kinda cute. At this point, if I lived in a warmer climate, I would be tempted to get a dark skinned hairless with white hair on the head, feet, and tail, I suppose you could say they have grown on me!!!
To help you overcome your hairless nightmares, here is a link to a photo of one of my poms. I apologize for not being smart enough to link just to the photo:

Also apologies for my slightly incoherent sentences and spotty spelling. The benedryl has, apparently, kicked in! Time for bed!
I’ve seen some ugly critters - we have aging hairless rats and mice at work - but he beats 'em all. I’m actually shocked.
Welcome to my nightmare!
Aww, first six-legged, two-johnsoned puppies, and now this!
He’s really not that bad. Think of it this way, he’s old. Old people generally look better clothed than nekkid. So do old doggies, by the looks of things…
Well. That must be the first time anyone’s ever linked to the Argus Courier (except possibly me). The Ugliest Dog Contest takes place in my hometown. How funny to see it mentioned here.
Poor Sam. Someone must have done something unfortunate to him.
You mean . . . you live near that . . thing? Should it still be “living” next year, you must get us photos! We can make him bigger than the equally evil Mr. Winkle!
Well, no, that’s in CA and now I am in Chicago. But my parents still live there, maybe some photos can be arranged.
That…seems to be a serious web site. “Can you guess which one is me?” Um, you’re the one with your tongue hanging out? That would have been a better name for the little puffball - Mr. Tongue.
I kinda feel sorry for the poor little guy. He looks like he needs a snuggle (and maybe some pain medication). Poor little thing
Huuuug meeeeee! Ain’t gonna happen.
Hmm on second thought, maybe euthenasia?
Eeeaaagh.
