Baby, it's cold outside.

It was 20F when I left work last night; by the time I got home (half hour?) it was down to 16F. The sun has been up a few hours & its now 13F.

I just didn’t want to be left out of the thread.
I, um, won’t comment on the temperature this morning. But we’re still on track for the cold front - current forecast for tomorrow night is 43. As of last night, they were talking about 20s in central Florida for the same time frame.

Went XC skiing yesterday morning, the car thermometer hit -7 on the drive over but it was a balmy 3 when we arrived. Pretty cold out there but a beautiful day for a ski, snow conditions were excellent.

Was minus 34C (-29F) earlier today, now it’s up to Minus 32 C (-26F) with minus 50 C -68F) windchill…brrrr

We’ve warmed up now to -8º, not sure what the wind chill is. I’m not leaving the house until I have to for work tomorrow. Tonight supposed to be going down to -31º. Glad i thought ahead and plugged my car in yesterday. It’s a good winter-starter but you never know, and that is cold!

I think I’ll go look at my newest seed catalog now and dream of spring.

ETA: Northern WI here.

3 degrees currently. Negative 23 tonight. :mad::eek:

Still in the 40s. They’re predicting thunderstorms (!) late this evening. Then the cold blast will hit and it will turn to snow. Apparently not going to get thundersnow this time.

Going to get down to 5F Monday night. Around here, that’s very rare. Big wind chill alert.

One of our neighbors couldn’t get his car started early Friday am and it was only in the low 20s. Tuesday morning there’s going to be a huge number of people in that boat.

SW Wisconsin…
Currently -2. Low tonight -25 windy with wind chill forecast -50. High on Monday -13. And windy. Too bad my propane supplier missed the Friday delivery, but thank Odin for the woodstove…
My best to all !!

St Pete’s (FL) First Friday cxl’d due to “cold”

Forecast overnight lows of 70°F over the next couple of days is about as cold as I’ve ever seen it here in Cayman but nowhere near our all time record low of 57°F.

Might have to shut the windows and doors when I sleep.

It’s… zero in Oshawa. Yes, it’s actually at the freezing mark.

On the other hand, the Weather Network has a headline, “Extreme temperature dip, blinding snow squalls and flash freezing on tap for southern Ontario”.

And the update from Environment Canada for southern Saskatchewan:

And to add to that, my cousin from Florida is shaking her head at why we live here in Southern Ontario at all*, and my aunt from Saskatchewan is saying that this is nothing, she grew up in real cold. I can’t win.

*Jobs. Yeah, I know.

“cxl’d”? I’ve never seen that abbreviation for “cancelled” before.

It’s warmed up to 30 degrees here now. It really feels downright balmy.

We have to go through this crap to truly appreciate Spring. There is nothing as glorious as Springtime in the Adirondacks. If you can avoid the black flies.

See post 32, supra. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s how I feel. And according to the weather reports, we’re going down to single digits.

Seriously, people, you haven’t experienced real cold until you’ve had your boogers freeze. No exaggeration.

As it always happens when there is a threat of ice and/or snow, the grocery stores have been pretty much completely sold out of milk and bread.

Wow, it’s 12F right now, north of Fort Worth. It rarely gets this cold here.

If our leaders can’t keep temperatures above zero degrees (Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin; I don’t care which) they should be voted out of office!
