Back-button magic!!

Instead of complaining about how this fucking Board is routinely un-fucking-believably slow, crashes more frequently than a retarded chimpanzee flying a 747 would, etc. , I’d like to offer some help, and to ask a question:

the help: over the past few months, when I’ve noticed that the Board is being very slow doing what I’ve tried to do, like loading the next page or posting my reply to a thread, I’ve hit the back button and then the forward button, and voila!–instead of being stuck in SD Hell, and finally getting an error message or database message or some such shit, I’m where I want to be.

The question: why does this happen? Is the fact that this happens any use to TPTB in fixing the problems?

I don’t know; but I’ve had the same result using the Refresh button.

Interesting.

I’ve tried both with no success- all roads lead to Database Error.

If you’re posting a reply and you hit back and then forward, does it cause a double-post?

Not always.

But even if it does, editing your doublepost is a lot easier than losing the whole thing.

Somewhat related yet different – If a page is taking forever to load, I click Back, then either re-click the link I wanted or click something else entirely. Almost every time, it works immediately. YMMV.
