"Back To The Future"-Doc's House?

I am watching this old gem on AMC-Doc’s old house in Pleasant Valley-it looks a lot like the Gamble House (Pasadena, CA)-is it?
I never saw the firts part of the movie…so I didn’t know.

Yes, and IIRC it was the first movie allowed to film inside.

Only the exteriors were shot at the Gamble House. The inside of Doc’s was shot at another house of similar architectural style.

ETA: According to this site the interiors were shot at the Blacker-Hill House, except for the scenes in BTTF3, for which the house was recreated as a set.
