Things are so weird around here. The boss has closed himself in his office a couple of times. The two engineers (?) who are taking over his projects had to attend some meeting (HAHA!!) I don’t know if it’s just me, but it feels surreal.
And apart from knowing that he’s leaving next week, no one has said anything to me. Very odd place to work.
Yes, and it was so good. Very pleasing and fresh and refreshing. A great hot weather food. The crawfish stew is good too. Now I am stuffed and still have to eat birthday cake in a bit. I just would like a nap.
Ginger ale could only help some bourbon. Others, only the teeniest splash of H2O is needed. 
doggio, the effects of the pipeline leakage hit us this weekend. A lot of stations ran out because people began to panic. Most are now fully stocked again.

Irk is going well today. They got the restroom near my cube farm opened again (they were re-flooring it), so I don’t have to go across the warehouse or through security when nature calls.
Time flies. It doesn’t seem that long ago when I was in the delivery room with my niece as she birthed her first and today, he turned 17.
It is rumored that the proper way to drink Scotch is mixed with an equal amount of water at room temperature.
Howdy Y’all! I actually cleanded the bathrooms and kitchen includin’ moppage and everything! Death Chikin just went into the oven to bake. I shall also bake some asparagus and some rolls. Dindin is all baked tonight. Oh and I made brownies earlier just cause. OK, to spoil OYKW a bit. Plus there’s ice cream for the brownies. YAY!
Butters gazpacho can be really good or really bad. I have found there is no in between. Crawfish stew sounds so nummy! Sounds like a good birthday is bein’ enjoyed.
red my two oldest great nieces have graduated high school. Of those two one has completed tech school and is now a dental hygenist and the other is a freshman in college. The oldest great nephew graduates high school this year and the other oldest great nephew got his driver’s license this year. That makes me feel sooooooooo oooooooooooooold!
Bourbon and ginger ale is the drink of the gods. That is all.
Well, not quite all. Very strong dark roast coffee with a touch of cream (brandy optional) is also a drink of deities.
Nap time is over. I gave in and went back to bed.
Maybe I should should stop fighting it and just accept that this is the way it is. There’s nothing stopping me from doing things in the middle of the night.

I got a new barn for your birthday. Now I gotta move a bunch of crap out of the house. After I go up to the farm to get the shelves. And then I need to scrub the house siding and paint the porch, because they look so shabby next to the new barn. But first, some workmen are coming tomorrow to level the house (because it settled a lot after it was set up, thanks to an insanely wet summer in 2013.) If you give a mouse a cookie…
Tired just thinking about it. A local sub shop is having a fundraiser for the elementary school, so I might do a good deed and let them cook dinner tonight.

I just pulled the last couple of pieces out of my damp work cabinet and everything is out to dry. There’s a fan running to move the air around and I’m hoping I can load the kiln on Firday or Saturday and fire a load. Then I’ll glaze, fire, and take everything to the store.
Tonight will be an early bedtime with Mel - I’s tahred!
Blurf. It looks like irk and I may be parting company sooner rather than later. I’m going to be spending some of my recovery time looking for a new job. This position just isn’t working for me, and rather than trying to force things, I think it would be better to just find something that will work for me.
I’ve got radio club tonight. And a conference call at 7. I just love conference calls.

After dindin OYKW went to his place for the night because he has a home monitorin’ to do at six a.m. tomorrow and where he needs to be is a lot closer to his place. So, bein’ unsupervised, I went wild and mowed the front yahd. Anywho, I did that and then jumped into the cee-mint pond. Then I had a beerverage out by the cee-mint pond. Then I showered and am now havin’ another beerverage whilst surfin’ teh intartoobz. Tomorrow includes mowage of the back yahd and maybe OYKW’s yahd should I be in the mood to do so. I can be all willy-nilly like that now.

Well I had a good birthday. So what did I have for my BD supper you ask? Lobster Thermidore sent home by my clerk yesterday. Omg. Had I know it would not have lasted. In fairness I gave her the lobsters on Firday. Also my wayward niece showed up with steamed shrimp and homemade cocktail sauce, fish dip and accoutrements, spinach dip and a nice bottle of Chianti. Then still being hungry I had some more crawfish stew. There is also carrot cake and a piece of homemade blueberry key lime cheesecake. Niece owns a restaurant. Overall it was a Great day. Thank you all for sharing it with me.
Now since it was a Tuesday hubs will probably take me out on the weekend or get my car detailed or something.
