Bacon sausage

I had to get out of the office for a few. Especially since it’s a hot, sunny day. So I strolled on down to Pike Place Market. What the hell. As long as I’m here I may as well drop by Uli’s and stock up on sausages. (After stopping to buy some salmon crack, of course.)

What’s this in the display? Bacon sausage? Hm. Bacon sausage. Of course! I’m told it’s delicious with lettuce and tomato on toast with some garlic mayo.

So I bought a pound of it.

And the verdict is?

It sounds delicious. Report back.

I get goose- and calf-liver sausage from the Bavarian Deli across the street from there.

I think I started a thread about this last year on a product made by Farmland.

Well, I got distracted and over-cooked it a little. Kinda dry. Other than that… I’m not impressed. The bacon needed more smokiness, and a sausage should have sage. I’ll try the BSLT suggestion later, and see how that goes.

Uli does make good sausages, so maybe it’s just that this one and I aren’t a ‘good match’.
