I ran across this picture. I can’t resist posting it, because I know that some people here are going to be horrified by it.
I think that it’s cute, and a little bit funny.

So . . . knowing that it will horrify some of us . . . you *couldn’t resist *posting it? :dubious:

Very cute. What exactly would be “bad parenting” about it?
“…and I will name it George!”
I see a bright future for the kid.
Another vote for ‘cute’.
Assuming it is not a real and loaded weapon ready to fire.

As long as its empty I go for cute.
No horror at all.
This.
The magazine should be out and the bolt locked back.
And yeah, cute kid.
Poor parenting for the apparent lack of gun safety.

I’m horrified. It’s absolutely disgusting.
Eggshell blue walls and brown floor tiles?
ISIS or Red State America? Take our quiz! Number 16 will surprise you.

And purple socks with blue pants. Jeez, kid, get it together.
Bad gun ownership. That kid could drop an expensive weapon. The optics alone cost more than what that brat would earn over the next decade.
Then you shouldn’t go into battle with such fragile equipment.
Besides, who needs a scope against a break-in?
Cute kid. It bothers me that the parents are taking pictures that are bound to be captioned and put on Facebook.
“What an adorable kid. Ignore if offended. Share or like if you think there’s nothing wrong with the picture.”
It’s pretty much everything wrong with America in one picture.

Neighborhood watch program.
Yeah! Look at all that…uh…lack of health care access and stagnating job market in that picture! GRR!!!
Well she is awfully cute. Maybe they wanted something different than pics of the kid with the puppy. I’m not horrified, though if I had owned a weapon (of any kind) when my kids were toddlers, it would not have crossed my mind to have them pose with one. Assuming it’s not loaded - does the pic mean that the girl’s parents are irresponsible? I don’t think so. Maybe a bit of a warped sense of humor, eh?
I own a gun now and my 19 year old kid owns a few. We go shooting together sometimes. The first time he and I shot his first gun - a Mosin-Nagant - we went to a quarry and documented the moment with a few pics. Good times.
