Be advised I was half in the bag when I watched this movie. But WTF was the dry hump thing about? The last time I did that was like 1974. Are there adults that actually do that? If so…WHY? IIRC this is the point she get’s freaked out by this guy. What was his problem? He likes tight jeans over the real thing? Huh?
I spent the rest of the flick going “waita minute, waita minute, wait,…wait!!”
IIRC, he was supposed to be prim and proper and nerdy and maybe religious? It would not be in his character to cheat on his girlfriend by having actual sex with someone else. The dry humping was his pathetic way of getting off without having actually cheated, in his mind.
Yeah, it was a character revelation moment. She thought he was going to be a real freak show and it turns out he’s just as fucked up relationshipwise as Poison Ivy Face. I could have done without the wet spot though.
Is this movie worth the $5.00 on On Demand? This and *Bridesmaids *have just turned up and I am thinking, “feh,” not really interested, but *maybe *they are worth five bucks and two hours. I was surprised that I enjoyed Horrible Bosses, after the horrible reviews.
Didn’t Horrible Bosses get pretty good reviews? It should have, at any rate, it was probably the funniest movie I saw all year.
Bad Teacher was okay - if you’ve got nothing to do, it’s probably worth five bucks. I laughed pretty steadily throughout it, and Jason Segel’s character was likable, which was good, because none of the other characters were at all.
I liked Bad Teacher, because it was way better than Bridesmaids. Bridesmaids could hardly qualify as a comedy. But Bad Teacher was only good in comparison to that disaster, not standing on it’s own.
Bad Teacher was awful. There was absolutely no character development, and the movie in fact celebrates her extreme incompetence by moving her to a job that she is even less qualified for.
Bridesmaids, on the other hand, was excellent. Laugh out loud funny, I highly recommend it.
I felt the same way. It seemed to me like they were trying to replicate the raunchiness and overall depravity of Bad Santa, but with none of the character development or for that matter, soul. I mean, even Willie Stokes in that movie, for as much of a scumbag as he was, had a few redeeming qualities.
When I saw Bridesmaids, I was expecting a female take on The Hangover, but it was more about the fall and rise of the Kristen Wiig character. I liked it. And Bad Teacher was OK as well.
I think that part of the joke was also that the two actors, Timberlake and Diaz, were once lovers and he broke up with her and she has been pining for him ever since, as he is the only straight male in Hollywood that can really dance.
