Baker Beam: Saint or God?

I was prowling around the booztore, and I found the full line of Beam family small batch bourbons: Knob Creek, Basil Hayden, Baker’s, and Booker’s. I had tried Knob Creek, which I called “the best Bourbon I’ve ever tasted”, and Basil Hayden, which was mighty nice, but not quite up to Knob Creek.

I bought a bottle of Baker’s. I got home, and just before a nap, I took a wee sip. It was no more than a quarter-teaspoon, but I knew. With a feeling that transcended language, I knew that Knob Creek had been kicked off the pedestal and right between the uprights.

Maybe, if I were a guy who reviews whiskeys for an elite journal, I could accurately tell you of the things Baker Beam has achieved. Sadly, I can not. I only know that I never tasted anything like that before. Spirituallly, I might not have been ready for such a level when I was younger. I might have evaporated.

I caution you, my friends! Are you ready? Consider carefully.
