Yes, you. The SDMB poster who goes by Baker. I dreamt about you last night (kind of).
Now, I’ve never met Baker in person. I know from her posts that she lives and works relatively near to me (20 miles or less). My mother sometimes works very close to her—let’s call it less than 20 blocks, to protect the privacy of those involved.
I had a dream last night where I was talking to someone at my mother’s work. At the end of the conversation, he mentioned that he was in need of a sweet—that he wanted a really good confection before he hit the road to wherever he was going (I couldn’t tell you if you asked). I told him that there was an incredible baker at the local library, and that it was very close. All he had to do was go X blocks in one direction, turn, and go Y blocks in another direction.
That’s it. That’s all. But still, I dreamt of an SDMB poster. One I’ve never met. My subconscious brain compiled what I knew of another poster and then presented its results to my dreaming brain, which took that information and folded it into a narrative. I may need a break from this place…
What say you? Anyone else dream of people/personas here on the Dope you’ve never met? Or are my dreams just getting really weird?
This sounds ominous, that you should be having a dream about the Deathmistress. I might be very nervous (except, I know that my dreams are never prophetic, only anti-prophetic at best).
Do you have any recollection of doing a mind meld with a young person of the opposite type, when you were 7 years old? Sounds like you may have a pon farr coming on!
I’ve also had an indirect dream about Baker and it was in her Deathmistress role. I dreamed I was watching the news and they reported Hugh Hefner had died. And I wanted to go online to check if I had him on my current deathpool list.
I had a dream about **curlcoat **once…well, it wasn’t ‘about’ her but she popped up for some reason. It was just an ordinary dream-setting, and I recognised her physically, even though I have no idea what she looks like IRL.
Oh my goodness, someone recommended our cafe! Even if it was in a dream.
azraiel, can you tell me by PM where your mom works? If she ever comes in for a meal or snack I could say hello. And you, are you in that college town? (Given the distance you mentioned.)

I once dreamed that I was actually ‘talking’ with some of the posters here.
We were all at a pub, and we were having a really fascinating discussion about something that I can’t recall.
My conclusion was that I spend much too much time on this board.
And yet, here I am, on a Monday morning when I have work to do.
