Why I did, I have no idea. I don’t know him from anyone else. I’ve never talked to him on these boards. The only way I know him is just through casual observance of his name.
Yet for some reason, I had a dream about him last night specifically. I was on the SDMB and saw/remember only one name and was talking to that member and he was it. We were talking about conspiracy theories.
So all this just leads up to the question: Have you ever dreamed, in any way, about the SDMB or its members? I’m not counting members that you know in real life or may be related to or married to (so QtM dreaming about ivylass or Cajun Man about DrMatrix wouldn’t really count), but members you’ve either just met at dopefests, only talked to on the boards, or even never talked to at all (like my own experience last night :dubious: ). Or maybe just a dream about the SDMB in general?
I have dreamt about a couple of members. I never came on the boards to tell them, though, and still won’t mention any names. However, it’s kind of the same thing as you - I don’t dream of people I have talked to or met but total strangers, people who are just pixels on a screen.
And it’s always a weird dream, too, something totally surreal.
Heh. This is weird because the same thing happened to me last week. I’m not afraid to post the name since I don’t know this invisible entity in the least: it was Litorus.
Now, granted there could possibly be a subliminal reason for her being in my dream. Anyway, Litorus you were hot! And how did I know it was you? Why you were wearing a white tee shirt with your name printed on the front in stylish 70s disco-silver-sparkled letters, of course.
A couple weeks ago I had a dream about one of the SDMB members that was rather erotic. I’ve never met this person but I’ll just say that the dream version of them was more than welcome.
I once dreamed that I was reading a post from december in which he revealed that he had been putting us on the whole time and that he’s really a 20-something female. This was about 6 months before he was banned.
I am oddly gratified by this thread. Oddly enough, I do debate conspiracy theories, it is one of my favorite things to talk about!
There have been a couple posts from some of the hot ladies her who have described themselves and what they like to wear that have brought out a couple pleasant daydreams. And I do sometime dream about posting here. :eek:
I’ve definitely dreamed about interacting with the board, but I don’t think I’ve seen an imaginary representation of a real person for any of the posters.
Yes. Contrary to lieu’s post, aha was a guy – he had been a member of a band called the Five Americans.
I’ve had separate dreams involving misstee (who hasn’t been around for a while), catsix, and Hal Briston. For the misstee dream, see Post #14 in this old thread. I don’t recall the details of the catsix dream, except that it was sexually charged (I had slept with her, or one of us was trying to bed the other). I don’t know what she actually looks like, but she was quite the hottie in the dream. As for Hal, I have seen photos of him, and they contributed to my dream image of him. I think I was either going to his house or planning to meet him at a restaurant.
