Help me Obi Wan Kenobi your my only hope…I seem to remember on the Saturday morning kids show “The Banana Splits” there was a group of teeny bopper heartthrob boys/men that came on between the banana splits skits. If memory serves one of them wore a blue velvet suit? I think they may have sung…I can’t find any answer to this burning question anywhere and no one I know remembers or for that matter cares. I’m beginning to think I have a made up memory.
Welcome to the board, melissa h.
We have a forum specifically for entertainment, and I’ll bet one of the TV experts there can answer this for you.
Moved from ATMB to CS.
Damn, you’re good, Frank.
I just reported this post.
Um… I don’t see any mention of regular humans, tho…
Maybe you have your memories mixed up with the Hudson Brothers ?
Note the guy in the blue vest in one of the pics.

I wonder if she means Kaptain Kool and the Kongs?
Our guest has posted this in two forums. It’s also over in Cafe Society, after being misposted in ATMB.
I’m gonna work some magic and (hopefully) merge this one with the one in Cafe Society.

That’s done it. Now there’s a hole in the fabric of reality. Just as the Broncos are in the lead, too.
OK ladies and gentlemen. You can unfasten your seatbelts.
I also deleted some duplicate posts.
Carry on.
Boomerang, the Cartoon Network’s other channel, shows the Banana Splits.
I don’t really have anything to add to answer the OP’s original questions. I just thought this would be a good time to mention that when I was a little kid in the early 70’s, I got to meet the Banana Splits and I got their autographs. It was terribly exciting for me.
My brother and I got to meet them at Korvette’s, a long defunct Dept store that I probably misspelled as I was very little and it was 1970. I am pretty sure I was excited because my brother (6 years older) told me I should be.

Egad! Thats always been my private, pet name for my genitalia!
I just wanted to say that the final shot of each episiode, in which the animated characters are seemingly transformed into lifeless still images painted on a fence, has given me intermittent nightmares and a general feeling of unease for over 30 years.
I will resist the urge to mention Dr. Shrinker.
A site with lots of Bananna Splits photos.
I remember the Sour Grapes Gang, but they were girls.
