I don’t. There is a difference between the seventh decade of the 20th century, which ran from 1961 through 1970, and the 60s, which encompassed 1960 through 1969. They aren’t synonymous in any formal or rigorous sense and they aren’t the same in a cultural sense. Nobody uses the seventh decade definition in a cultural sense in the first place.
The 20th century ran from January 1, 1901 through December 31, 2000. Unlike decades people do talk about the 20th century being the same as the 1900s. However, the calendar remains the calendar and there aren’t two ways of defining the calendar. You’re confusing the calendar - something that starts arbitrarily but once defined continues with mathematical logic - with a different concept, a social century.

Dude, it gets better. The second side of the album (marked as “ZagEv” on that website and OGG file) is way, way superior to the first. That’s the one that’s got In My House,Reginald Ludwig,The Candy Machine,Mr. Turnkey - not to mention the opening overture - definitely the best tracks on the album. Please, please don’t give up on it. Give it a chance, you will grow to appreciate it.
Also I don’t see how you could compare Fred with 2525. The melody and instrumentals are nothing alike.
First, apologies to the OP for the continuing hijack.
Argent: On that web page, there are five files listed. I went immediately to Exordium+Terminus because it’s the one I’ve heard of. I’ve now listened to all of it, and in my opinion it gets even worse: those cod-serious/sincere spoken bits are the pits, for example.
BUT: the first file, listed as _ (which is the one you recommend, I believe) is a whole different kettle of fish. It’s (to mix my metaphors) chalk and cheese compared to Exordium. I’m looking forward to listening to it more closely.
