I’m surprised that Sting hasn’t tried this yet. Also, no eponymous album from him.
Blue Öyster Cult had Blue Öyster Cult, which was actually a re-working of their earlier song Subhuman.
I had a look at Wiki.
The original Australian release was the band Flowers (no ‘The’), album title Icehouse and track title Icehouse.
But the international issue (including the UK and USA) was under the new band name Icehouse, album title Icehouse and track title Icehouse. I’m definitely INSISTING on this one!

Here’s an old thread of mine from 2008 (which gets resurrected from time to time) with same band name, album name, and song title.
Night Ranger
The opening track on Mandrill’s first album, called Mandrill, was titled Mandrill.
Talk Talk originally missed out on naming an album after themselves, but their single Talk Talk did end up on the band’s Natural History: The Very Best of Talk Talk.
“Action Figure Party,” which I cited in a thread from 2015 (but before when the OP arrived here).
Röyksopp had “Röyksopp Forever” and “Röyksopp’s Night Out”
If you like Electronic they might be your new favourite group.
Thanks, I didn’t realize the international versions were released as Icehouse. I was going from memory (from Oz obviously).
I “discovered” Röyksopp a few weeks ago, when Geico started re-running one of the old Caveman ads. I’d always liked the song in the ad, and when I looked it up, I learned that it was, in fact, a real song, by a real band (the song is “Remind Me”).
Motorhead!
R.A.M.O.N.E.S.
Though it was written by Motorhead
No; it was written by Lemmy.
Josie and the Pussycats. (Long tails, and ears for hats…)
Also in the “close, but no cigar” department, Queensryche had a song titled “Queen of the Ryche.”
Here’s a couple that are fairly close.
**Terry Hall **(from UK Ska/Pop bands The Specials and the **Fun Boy Three **as well as co-writer of **Our Lips Are Sealed **which was a hit for The Go-Gos and also The Fun Boy Three) formed a group called The Colourfield (two words) who had as their first single **The Colour Field **(three words.) They later released an EP called The Colour Field which did not include the track.
UK rock legends UFO had a track in their first album UFO1 credited as Unidentified Flying Object.
With increasing desperation:
George Michael rose to fame with UK pop band Wham! who had a debut single called Wham! Rap (Enjoy What You Do.)
UK punk band Cockney Rejects had songs (from different albums) called Join The Rejects and the hit single The Greatest Cockney Rip Off.
Getting really desperate now
Adam and the Ants had a hit single Antmusic
Another UK punk band Angelic Upstarts had a hit with I’m An Upstart

One more I forgot.
After the demise of The Sex Pistols, guitarist and drummer Steve Jones and Paul Cook formed The Professionals. Their discography is a bit complex (due to legal disputes) but their first album was initially called The Professionals (later rebooted as I Didn’t See It Coming) while one of the later reissues returned to being called The Professionals and included the track Join The Professionals.

If we’re opening it up to “fairly close,” we have to mention The Stray Cats’ “Stray Cat Strut.”
Thread from 2018: Music title trifectas
A recent one is “Thunderpussy” from Thunderpussy by Thunderpussy.
Make these posts easier to read: Put the song title in quotes, the album title in italics, and the artist name with neither.
