I’ve asked this to a mod in email and have yet to get a response. What are some names of banned members.
I know their are:
Micheal Masterson
Silo
Wildest Bill
and JDT.
What are some others?
You really, really don’t want to start this kind of thread - it tends to attract the very posters who come back as socks again and again.
The mods/admins also tend to take the view that it isn’t generally OK to discuss banned posters as they are in no position to reply.
FWIW, the mods and admins around here are volunteers who have jobs, families, friends, and lives of their own. They get sick, they take holidays. In short, it isn’t reasonable to expect a quick response if you email a single mod. If it’s something which needs urgent attention, email all the mods listed for the particular forum involved. If it isn’t urgent, then just be patient, the mod you’ve emailed will get back to you when time permits.
I don’t want to discuss why they got banned, more who got banned.
Listing them here would only be giving them some kind of kudos they don’t deserve, and I doubt that any mod has the time to compile a list of them all for you during the holiday season.
As the most spectacular bannings tend to get “why was X banned” threads, your best bet is to go back through the Pit threads of the last couple of years.
reprise is right, SmileyDeath. I don’t blame you for the curiousity, I’m a bit like that myself when it comes to the subject, but the mods don’t like the trouble these kind of on-board enquiries spark off.
Try to plug away at the Search function, as has been suggested. Takes time, but at least you don’t get told off.
You might want to check out this thread as a starting point. Keep in mind the golden rule, though, it’s NOT considered to bump archaic threads started by now-banned posters, no matter how funny some of them might be.
