Barbara Walters Interview

Last night, I got off of work a little early (early for me, anyway) and when I walked in the door, I noticed that my roommate was watching the Barbara Walters Oscar Interview Special. I didn’t have anything better to do, so I decided to sit down for a while and watch. Little did I know what I was in for. For those of you who didn’t see it, here’s what happened: Barbara was interviewing Julianne Moore about her movie, “The Hours”. She brought up a magazine interview that Julianne had done where she said something to the effect of “Kissing Toni Collette was nice…she smelled pretty…her skin was soft… (etc.)” So Barbara Walters then more or less said “Can I kiss you?” Then they kissed. It wasn’t over the top or anything, more like a rather short kiss on the lips. I laughed so hard I almost choked on my rice krispies… But the scary part was when Barbara leaned back and said that Julianne was right. Kissing a woman wasn’t so bad. Did anybody else see this? 'Cause it was some crazy stuff…

I didn’t see the interview, but this thread can use some friends so let me throw in a general Barbara Walters observation.

Have you noticed how much the overlight and “soft focus” her to hide her unflattering signs of age? If they put anymore vaseline on the lens shell look like a talking cloud.

Didn’t see the interview, but based on the above description, if lesbian chic isn’t dead, Barbara Walters may just have killed it herself. Let’s see if she puts the smacky lip on Joy Behar or Starr Jones.

The only person she’s fooling with the lighting and camera tricks is herself.
