You mean Barry’s demeanor while Gene was the suspect for Janice’s murder? He was worried for Gene, because Fuches had set it up pretty convincingly (or convincing enough for those particular cops, anyway).
Luckily, the cops became distracted from the “Gene did it” theory by the pin. But that wasn’t a sure thing. Barry hoped that the cops would transition to the “Chechens did it” theory, but he couldn’t be certain that they would.
(Or maybe you meant something else?)
That’s what I meant, I guess it makes sense he would still be worried.
I like the show, but one problem that I have with Fuchs behavior is that if Barry gets arrested, so does Fuchs.
My interpretation of that is that Fuches is so emotionally invested in “owning” Barry that he’d gladly accept that deal (if Barry goes down, so does Fuches) if the only alternative is making a life for himself that doesn’t include ownership of his meal-ticket/Frankenstein’s creature/surrogate son. (That last in a very sick version.)
