The uniform trend that I find the most annoying historically was the light blue road uniforms that quite a few teams were wearing back in the late '70s to early '80s. Whenever I watch highlights of the '82 World Series, I not only cringe to see the Brewers lose their one and only chance at glory but also for the blue polyester leisure suit roadies the Cards and the Brewers were wearing.
Alternate home jerseys are the tool of the devil. Happily, the Giants seem to have retired the all-black “Friday Night” jersey that they wore for a few years. The Red Sox’ all red (well, it looks more orange to me) alternate is puke worthy. And no need to mention that hideous orange affair the Mets have to trot out in.
And then there’s a special place in uniform hell for the Diamondbacks, who have so many uniform variations it is impossible to tell what’s alternate and what’s standard.
Current Classics:
Yankee pinstripes (always and forever)
Cubbie pinstripes
Giant “French Vanilla” (Up yours, Kent!)
The Braves tomahawk
The standard home BoSox uniform
Eh? The Cardinals’ uniform isn’t one of the classics? Or the Oakland A’s all whites? Or the Tigers?
Remember the “Turn Ahead the Clock” uniforms from a few years ago?

Angels road Reds Alternate Texas Alternate and the Detroit home.
Hideous jerseys:
Kansas City, Pittsburg, Philly (it might as well be pink), Tampa Bay (it looks like a minor league jersey., and the worst of all, The Arizona Abomination!.

BTW, was the Bonds droopy, long pant look begun by George Hendrick-new Dodger hitting coach? & how can George help if he can’t/doesn’t speak. He went to Crenshaw High in LA,not far from E.Murray’s Locke High. Wonder if Murray copied homey George’s silence.
Sorry. The unrelenting nightmares after that experience have left me a bit addled.

I like High socks
I like really ugly ball caps (1980’s Expos, Padres, and Astros)
I like brown or orange mixed into the uniforms (Padres and Astros again, Giants, Orioles)
I don’t like White and Blue jerseys like the Dodgers or Blue Jays.
I don’t like really bland uniforms (Tigers, current White Sox and current Astros)
I don’t like purple or teal (Marlins, Diamondbacks, Rockies)
Tell the White Sox to bring back the shorts and the blouses. A new generation really wants to laugh at them.
Airman: I think one of the baseball video games (All Star Baseball IIRC) actually has those uniforms with the shorts as an option.
