After seeing the Chargers play this weekend in their powder blue uni’s, I thought I’d ask what team uniforms do you think are best. My choices are:
Football - The Charger powder blues are positively the best uniforms I’ve ever seen. The white helmets with the player’s number on it are a nice touch. I’ve always wondered why they don’t use these on a regular basis.
A couple of other ones: I like the Steeler helmets, with only one side with an emblem.
I also may be the only person who loved the old Tampa Bay orange and red uniforms. I thought they were great looking. The Colts have a very nice uniform.
Baseball - The Yankees. They never change. They are timeless.
Hockey - Pittsburgh Penguins. The skating penguin with the golden triangle behind is cool. Much better than the cheezy penguin head coming out of the triangle.
I have a very large collection of hcokey jerseys, so I just have to weigh in.
For classic styles, I think it’s a tie between the Montreal Canadiens and the Chicago Blackhawks. There’s a reason their jerseys have remained almost completely unchanged for decades–because they rock.
Of the newer styles, I think they are kind of hit and miss. I like Atlanta’s and Nashville’s (except their piss-yellow third), but I don’t like Minnesota’s.
My personal favorite is San Jose’s, also probably because they are my favorite team. I have all 5 jerseys they have used in their existence.
In baseball, I love the Florida Marlins road jersey. The fish rising out of the “F” is just perfect, and the shiny teal trim around the black letters and numbers on the back go great against the gray of those uniforms.
In basketball, I vote for the Miami Heat. I like the color scheme and the firey logo.

Most of the teams in the NFL are looking good. Except the Seahawks. That new color looks like a man’s business suit. I know the one color thing is back, but it doesn’t work for them.
But since it’s just a personal preference, I particularly like the home version of the Lions, and the 49ers. The Bears, the Eagles, and the Ravens road uni’s are good too.
Baseball – the Yankees, Dodgers, Tigers, and Royals home uniforms rule.
Miitary – There ain’t a bad one in the bunch. But the khaki type worn by the Navy and Marines really work.
Baseball: I’d say the Yankees, but they are the embodiment of pure evil…so I’ll go with Boston or the Dodgers. Giants are nice, too. Anything really classic works well in baseball.
Baskteball: Lots of uglies here…namely the Lakers with the horrid yellow and purple. The best one is probably the Sixers, IMHO.
I would have included the Celts and the Packers in this, but I have a thing against the color green.
I must say that the Chicago Blackhawks have one of the best uniforms in all of hockey or sports for that matter. Truly a timeless and classic design that has changed very little in their storied history.
I’m going with you.
They had the only women’s uniforms I’ve ever seen that didn’t make the women look like flight attendants from Horrible Clothing Airlines.
They won’t be around for much longer but I love the Montreal Expos’ road unis. Blue, red and grey with script “Montreal” really looks great.
MLB worst: NY Mets’ black, blue and orange. They look like a bruise.
NBA best: Boston
NBA worst: Cleveland, for the same reason I dislike the Mets’ uniforms.
NFL best: Green Bay
NFL worst: Seattle
Hockey - Another vote for the Canadiens as best.
There are a lot of bad ones with too much clutter, but I’d have to say Columbus’ with their ugly bug logo are pretty bad.
College Best - USC Cheerleaderss
Football best - Ohio State
Football Worst - Oregon’s black, dark green and gold.
