Just when you think there is no unexplored sinkhole of man’s self delusion a Google search on a random question re an OP pops one up for you. I’m putting my bid in for this one to be even more disturbing than the timecube because at least it attempts to use standard english sentence structure.
… and if you really want a treat poke though the web site and see what happens when ex-Nasa engineers become ministers.
BASTARD -Ted Bundy and the Rise of Israel
Ted Bundy was one of history’s most evil domestic terrorists. A psychopathic necrophiliac and rapist who preyed upon college girls from 1973-75, he was a cold-blooded murderer. Born a bastard and rejected by his mother, he became the servant of Bel, the ancient god of Babylon. God sent him as a sign of the diaspora, and his life paralleled the birth and rise of the nation of modern Israel.

I attended the Florida Bible Institute, but most of my spiritual training has come through the ministry of R. B. Thieme, Jr., Houston, Texas, whom I consider my Right Pastor. I have been studying under his ministry since 1972. I spent 6 years in the Florida Highway Patrol and 25 years with NASA as an Electrical and Computer Engineer before retiring in 1997 to dedicate myself full time to the ministry of the Word of God

Is “Bel” another name for “Ba’al”? Or two different things?
We’ll need an old priest and a young priest.

Interesting to see how he comes up with so many meanings for all of the different numbers.
Huh?
Not in my case. For me, the year 1973 stands for pregnancy, for that was the year I was born.
Tacoma, Washington is at 47 N., for peace, and 122 W., for cursing.
Numerology meets cartography. Weird.
Aren’t there supposed to be ten? That is, if you count the death of the firstborns as a plague.
number 338, stands for the purifying judgment of the Holy Spirit in dying in the wilderness, and 242 stands for Baal, the bear, and Russia.
Dang, those are busy numbers.
That sentence made me smile for some weird reason, although it does appear to be a slam on Gerald Ford.
After this point in the document, the whole thing just becomes too brutally weird, and I didn’t feel like wasting my time reading it anymore.

[Dana Carvey as Tom Brokaw]
Tragedy today, as former President Gerald Ford was eaten by wolves. He was delicious.

Sweet Zombie Jesus! Atreyu sure is right about those damn numbers. They’re all over the site. I wish I had the guy’s address so I could anonymously mail him seven pennies and watch him rant and rave about the biblical signficance of them on his site.
More great stuff:
The third airliner in 24 hours is believed to have crashed in Peru. Flight 222 disappeared about 3 minutes before its scheduled 8:43 AM landing this morning. There were 42 passengers and 4 crew onboard. The number, 42, stands for Baal, the bear, and Russia, and 4 is for weakness. The number, 222, stands for intensified cursing. Peru in South America corresponds to the location of Israel in Asia. The missing plane was built in 1965, which stands for going down.
In Canada, 7 of 24 skiers were killed in an avalanche. The number, 7, is for categorical punishment, while 24 is for Satan’s strategic attack on Israel. Three of the dead were Americans, which corresponds to the meaning of 2003. The skiers were in two groups. The group of 11 was hit by the avalanche and the group of 13 was out of harm’s way. The number, 11, is for a witness, and 13 is for the double blessing of Israel.
Four tornadoes were reported in Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. The first tornado was in Clarendon, Texas at 34 N., for the division of the land, and 100 W., for maximum divine good production. The next two tornadoes were in Coldwater and Greenburg, Kansas at 37 N., for a warrior, and 99 W., for almost but not quite. The fourth tornado 20 miles west of Walters, Oklahoma at 34 N. and 98 W., for the glory has departed.
Okay, so pretty much every number means something, and you use the meanings of the numbers to come to random conclusions that only make sense to people who are as crazy as you are. Sounds like a foolproof path to salvation to me (speaking of which, the site also has a handy Salvation FAQ. )
Thanks for the link, astro. This stuff is hilarious.
Oy, numerology. When the Church comes out and says “stop doing that, it’s crazy,” you KNOW it’s out there…
Well, I haven’t seen Max Von Sydow in anything recently, so I’m guessing he’s still available.
Here’s a website about R. B. Thieme, Jr., who this guy says that he was influenced by:
