Batshit crazy Michele Bachmann strikes again!

No, please don’t stop - mostly because I don’t get your point.

You’re upset that the DFL didn’t ride to El Tink’s rescue, despite the fact that he was fighting an uphill battle in a district full of single-issue voters as a former head of MNDoT in a state where a bridge fell down last year? You’re upset that the DFL didn’t put forth a viable 6th district candidate? You’re upset that the DFL couldn’t find a viable 6th district candidate? You’re upset that no one stepped forward to become a viable 6th district candidate? You’re upset that district IR voters chose Bachmann over Aubrey Immelman?

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but rural/suburban Central Minnesota isn’t exactly Gingrich’s Atlanta, and if it weren’t for Bachmann’s national exposure you’d still be unaware of the existence of my corner of flyover country.

Bachmann is my congressional representative. I detest her political views and I resent the fact that that homophobic, fundamentalist cunt is representing me on a national scale, but I’m philosophically/politically pleased that her “next door neighbor” from the 5th district is Keith Ellison, the first Muslim in the House. Ain’t another state in the union with that claim to fame - not even yours.

My point here is probably a little obscure. Lieberman has gone around for the past year questioning the Dems patriotism and competence and saying all sorts of nasty stuff. And the Democratic Party didn’t just let him keep the head of arguably the most powerful committee in the Senate, they voted overwhelmingly for him to do so. Now, it’s one thing to try to be cordial with your colleagues. But to basically tongue-bathe the man just tells me that the Democratic Party leadership enjoys it when they get called all sorts of nasty names. And if they aren’t even going to make a minimum of effort to defend themselves, I’m not going to either.

As I said, it’s a hijack, so I’ll stop.

Actually, first she said he was anti-American, then she claimed that she never said that, and proposed that he was instead against America.
