Battleship

Anyone up for a game on the weekend of 2nd May? I have a variant of Battleship I want to try out, but will need people to sit down and post every five minutes over the period of an hour or two, tops. I am looking for 4 players.

Rules:

Same set up as Battleship, but with 4 players.

This will be a 4-way (hopefully) Battleship game - players not only choose which coordinates to fire on, but whose sector of the ocean. Each sector will be a 15x15 square grid, in which players place their ships as they see fit. Other players fire missiles into other sectors in an attempt to hit the hidden ships. Shots will be confirmed as hit or miss.

Players submit their launch orders to me, via PM. The results will be published in the thread.

Each player originally has 4 shots per turn, and can fire these as they see fit. They could fire one shot into each sector, or pick on someone and fire all their shots into the one sector, or anything in between. Hits and misses will be made public, but who fired the shots will be, in general, a mystery.

However, if too many missiles are launched at a sector, some will fail. These will be determined by the latest launch orders to be received.
1-4 missiles launched at the sector - all will succeed.
5-7 missiles launched at the sector - the last missile will not count
8-10 missiles launched at the sector - the last 4 missles will not count
11-12 missiles launched at the sector - the last 6 missiles will not count

The winner will be the player with the last ships remaining, or who has the most ships remaining after an agreed time limit. Say, 1.5-2 hours.

Ship types:

Flagship
1 per player
Size: 2*4 rectangle

Supply ships
3 per player
Size: 1*3 rectangle
Provides the player with an extra missile per turn. If one of these is sunk, the player can only fire 3 missiles per turn. If all are sunk, the player can only fire 1 per turn.

Radar Vessel
4 per player
Size: 1*2 rectangle
The player whose missile hits a Radar Vessel will be identified in the thread.

Defence Platform
2 per player
Size: 2*2 square
Except for the top-left coordinate, hits on these targets are reported as misses.

Research Vessel
1 per player
Size: 3 tiles in an L-shape
Whenever a Research Vessel is sunk, the players with intact Research Vessels are rewarded a prize. Prize remains in effect until that player’s RV is sunk.
*3 RVs remaining: each turn a missile can be fitted with a Cross Bomb - hits target, plus tiles immediately above, below and to each side
*2 RVs remaining: each turn a missile can be fitted with a Square Bomb - hits target plus all adjacent tiles. This replaces the Cross Bomb
*Last RV remaining: gives the player a one time use bomb, the Column bomb. Hits all tiles in the target’s row or column, to be determined by my coin toss.

For clarity, here is an example setup.

The guys in the top-left are Radar Vessels.
The guys in the top-right are Supply Ships
The guys in the middle are Defence Platforms.
The fat-arse in the bottom left is the Flagship.
The L-shape int he bottom-right is a Research Vessel.
