Battlestar Galactica 1.9 — "Hand of God" (now with lemon fresh spoilers)

Unlike Cervaise, I’m smart enough to know I can’t handle The Tooth. At least so far …

Well, they DO have replicators–so all they need to do is get enough spare power to create whatever they need (so one would think dilithium hunting would be their biggest hobby).

There was a plot device that the replicators required some specific power source that failed and restricted their use. Hence [shudder] Nelix the cook.[/shudder]

I think it’s pretty well established that she is a longtime friend of the Adama family.

The first thing I thought of was the song ‘Mistrel Boy’ in the closing credits of Black Hawk Down.

The cylon god is the easy answer, of course we don’t know who/what that is. I have to admitt that the apparent submission of toasters to human form cylons does have me puzzled, but that seems to be how they are writing it for now. We keep seeing toasters being ordered around by the human cylons and their distain of the toasters. You also never see toasters and humans in conversations (other than orders), they only converse with other human form cylons.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but in what episode did Helo run across(and presumably kill) #6? I don’t remember either event occuring.

I believe it was in episode 2. Helo is captured by some Cylons including some “toasters” and a Number Six model. I don’t remember the specifics, but when Boomer first shows up to rescue him she shoots and kills the Number Six. Helo doesn’t know about the human-form Cylons and that there are multiple copies of them, so he is surprised in the latest episode when he sees the woman that Boomer killed.

You did appropriately give a warning for your initial spoiler, but now that you’re calling it tame, I think people might be tempted to go back and take a look at it.

I think they should know that The Tooth’s spoiler is most definitely NOT tame. It’s a spoiler on a pretty significant plot-point that isn’t revealed until the second part of the two part finale. In fact, it’s directly related to a cliffhanger. I wouldn’t say it’s a HUGE spoiler that ruins everything, but I really wouldn’t call it tame.

Seems pretty tame to me.

Now that Richard Hatch has guest-starred, are there any other plans to acknowledge the first Battlestar Galactica? I think it would be a blast to re-do the episode where in order to get some desperately needed part, Commander Adama has to charm some rich, eccentric woman. Does anyone know if Commander Adama gets a love interest any time soon?

Forget it! This Adama would go there with a squad of armed soldiers and say “Hand it over. NOW.”

Just to continue the hijack…

It wasn’t that the replicator’s didn’t work. They decided not to use them very often because it used energy. Everyone had “replicator rations” they could use. You would often hear, “It cost me (amount of time) worth of replicator rations, but it was worth it”

And to keep the whole BG, ST thing going. Today I was watching a rerun of DS0 and my wife said something like “I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t watch Star Trek.” Then she started laughing. When I looked puzzled she said, “Isn’t this Battlestar Galactica?”

That’s what I said, guy. The power source for the replicators failed and they had to limit replicator use.

^:dubious:^

Ah. Guess I inserted the word “failed” before the word “replicators”

Sorry for my inaccurate reading.

Looked like urine recyc to me.
