You’re mixing your tenses and confusing me.
Earlier, when Starbuck went to caprica to retrieve Apollo’s Arrow, didn’t a 6 say she was important? it also seemed that Leoben thought she was “special” in some way too… implying that she had a larger role to play.
Wonder if this has been forgotten, or if it’s finally coming to fruition.
From The Patriot Resource:
12/29/06: Speculation time from The Patriot Resource: Adding in the tease from the promos, Kara’s destiny will likely be to find Earth. We’ll also find out that her mess of a personal life was what has been written in the prophecies and contribute to her being able to find Earth. These two things will form the basis of rehabilitating her character in Season 4. Leoben’s efforts (and the Cylons) were to draw that knowledge out of her. Kara disappears after she realizes the secret to finding Earth. We likely won’t know if it’s the seven known models, the five unknown models or the “Ship of the Lights” that grabbed her. She might even strike out for Earth on her own.
12/29/06: One Season 3.5 promo states “One will die. One will realize they are a Cylon. And One will find Earth.” [We know that with Kara’s “destiny,” she’ll likely fulfill at least one of those.] So I stand by my previous.
If that spoiler is correct, then - and note that I haven’t seen any of S3 yet - I hope they’ll wrap it all up then. Now that would be ballsy.
How’s BSG doing in the ratings? Because I’d really like it to come to a firm end rather than just be cancelled. I can just imagine them killing off humanity entirely.
If that’s true it’ll be really interesting if/how RDM handles the Ships of Light in a way that doesn’t seem cliched. Perhaps we’ll finally get to meet a “Lord of Kobol” .
Nothing pleasant, but I’m betting he’ll weasel his way out.
Baltar is a survivor, and I imagine he can keep everyone dangling as they wait for whatever information he’s got stuffed in his head.
Hell, he can be used to play off against Athena, seeing as how they both have exclusive information.
Baltar will be fine.
As for the character death, I hope not. I’m quite fond of the character. My own preference would be Lee because he’s such an irritating little whiny girl.

“Rumors of the boxed cylon”?
Rumour has it that one of the Cylon models is to be taken out of service by the others. Most likely going to be De’anna when she becomes even more insane than she currently is
Ah. Thanks.
Mr. Rilch and I went to a sneak preview of the mid-season finale last month. There was a short Q&A with some of the writers afterwards, in which they admitted that the ratings are not high enough to guarantee survival.
That’s sad, but I hope they’ll view it as an opportunity to go out in style, rather than leave it as a cliff-hanger and then try to negotiate a 4th season. Finish it and move on.
Speculating based on **Silenus’ ** spoilered text:
One will die = Xenabot, death being her getting boxed.
One will realize they are a Cylon = Baltar
One will find Earth = Starbuck
Thing that worries me…where do you go with the series after you find Earth? Either a final showdown with the Cylons, or ??? It’s gonna be hard to continue after that, I’d think.
Even if they don’t get a 4th season BSG is still popular enough to justify another mini-series or a straight-to-DVD movie. If they do get a 4th season I’d like to see them spend it leading up to a definate conclusion instead of holding out for a 5th season (the cast signed 5 yr contracts).
