Anybody want to take a stab at rewriting the lyrics for “Penny Lane”?
Let’s try that again:
Couldn’t they at least rename it to “Cow doo-doo lane?”
Imagine the consternation if a significant event happened there, and a USA news anchor had to announce it.
“The murderer was captured on Cow<bleep!> lane. He had lived at Cow<bleep!> lane for most of his life. His neighbour, at 22 Cow<bleep!> lane said he was a quiet young man who never bothered anybody.”
Instead of rewriting “Penny Lane”, this street name has inspired me to rewrite “Savoy Truffle.”
