Bear Steals Restaurant Dumpster Twice In a Row
(CBS News) I order take-out from restaurants from time to time, but this is just ridiculous: a hungry bear in Colorado Springs, Colo., decided to go further than just a little dumpster-diving by stealing a whole dumpster – two nights in a row! Watch one of the heists unfold in the video above.
As reported by CBS-affiliate KCNC in Denver, “The bear was targeting the dumpster behind the Edelweiss Restaurant, a Colorado Springs landmark known for its German cuisine.” The owner had set up surveillance cameras to try and capture vandals, but much to his surprise, ended up capturing footage of a whole different kind of vandal (and species!) than he ever expected. I don’t know about you, but I’d say this bear is definitely way “smarter than the average bear!”
That is one big pik-a-nik basket!
I wonder what was going through the bear’s mind. “I’ll just take this big box back to my den and I can eat for a week!”
It’s all fun and games until that bear is seen pushing that dumpster along the streets of the city, filled with empty bottles, to feed his Clover-Honey habbit.
