Beauty and the Geek - Jan. 17 Episode Question

First, let me say that this season is pissing me off royally. They should call it Bitchy and the Geek. I hope that the blondes enjoy cutting each other to pieces now, and I hope the Geek boys show them how human beings are supposed to act.

Anyway, I actually have a question for all the big brains around here - Nate had dinner with an actress who was extremely familiar to me, but I can’t place her. Can anybody help me out here?

Just wanted to say this is my first season watching this show, and I am enjoying it. But yes, blondes are pretty bitchy.

This season is much less enjoyable than the last season. Those clicky blonde models are just super-bitches. It is awful hoping to see them get their comeuppance when you know the guys they are with don’t deserve to get booted.

No idea on the actress, though, sorry.

Was that the worst elimination match ever, though? Cecille’s questions were REALLY easy (as should be obvious because that stupid airheaded bitch got them right), but the brunette’s were a little more subtle and harder…“outdoor advertising” indeed.

Exactly. I’m seeing the occasional glimpse that the guys aren’t completely unaware of how bitchy their partners are, though. Fingers crossed for them!

I don’t even think she’s just a stupid, airheaded bitch - I’m leaning more towards “sociopath” at this point. Have I mentioned that I really don’t like these girls, and her least of all? The way Cece and the other one started laughing when Niels was having a very difficult time just made my blood boil.

Agreed all around. I feel like the blondes totally don’t get the point of the show this time around, except for maybe Nadia. What bothered me the most was when Jennylee and the brunette (I can’t think of her name) were having their bitchy spat after it was identified who was going to elimination. Jennylee said something that was roughly “well at least I’m not a geek and playing chess.” The brunette’s response, which I thought was wonderful, was “so I learned a new game!”

To Jennylee: DID YOU MISS THE POINT OF THIS SHOW ENTIRELY?? First you call someone else a geek, and then you dis her for personal growth? Wooowwww.

I loved that little exchange, too - Andrea was playing chess, having learned it from one of the guys as she said, and Jennylee is giving her a hard time over it. My kingdom for slap-o-vision. I thought as a beauty pagent kinda gal that Andrea would be the bitchiest of them all, but I did not anticipate it going the way it has.

I think it’s sad that the best two women are gone so early on. I was totally OK with the first bimbo who left, especially after she got all bitchy about how her partner didn’t fawn over her after she totally duffed the interview with the Freakonomics guy.

Then again, obviously Andrea and Shree were the smartest and probably had the least to learn from the experience. Here’s hoping that JennyLee and Nadia are salvageable. It was sad to see Andrea and Matt leave now because they were the ones who almost took the “early-out” cash.

Who carries this, Bravo?

CW (formerly UPN).

Give it a try, Liberal. Honestly, it’s not (completely) like the other reality tv shows. I don’t feel like my brain has gone to mush and I need a shower after watching an episode.

True! I never figured a program created by Ashton Kutcher could be full of rather sweet (in a pleasant, not cloying, way) moments but I’ve loved this show since its first season. Everybody on it has something they can teach and learn, though Nate needing to ask how to apply deodorant was pretty nasty. And the guys are usually the ones who play well with each other.

That’s an interesting aspect of the show, dropzone - how the “socially inept geeks” are the better human beings, who get along well with just about everyone and put 110% into making the most of their experience on the show.
