Yes, and gonzomax was banned also, demonstrating the obvious bias against liberals.
I, however, remain.
ETA: Mostly because I am nice.
And to celebrate his ascendancy to Administrator, Marley23 banned everybody! It took most of a day to undo his damage. That’s risen to meme status, I suspect.

We’ve lost a few long-time posters to death. See the In Memoriam sticky. And a few new Doper marriages and quite a few new babies, too.
Recently, they merged the Comments on Cecil’s Columns and the Staff Reports forums into one. There’s a thread in the BBQ about Workplace Griping that has run for over a year now, and some of the stories in it are epic. See flatlined’s posts about Shredder Guy; they are not to be missed. And the Pit also now has a monthly mini-rants thread, which is a good place to blow off steam about the little things in life that get to you but aren’t worth a full scale pitting.
What happened to Q.E.D.? He lived close by. 
In the latter’s case… proof positive that god DOES exist!!

Towards the end of his tenure here, Dio started to display a tendency to hijack threads he entered, taking an extreme position on the subject of debate and vehemently defending it, often to the point of thread closure. This got on many people’s nerves.
Shame. The guy’s wicked smart.
Aren’t you guys going to tell him about the wild orgies we’ve been having, or the checks they’ve been sending us? Are we keeping that all secret?
Still, it was quite the controversy. Manynthought the banning unnecessary and imprudent.
Those things are fine, but make sure we don’t tell him about the Secret Hideout.
