I think both parties need to remove their stickers. I’m so f’n sick of seeing them. It’s enough to make me want to dress in black and go around from parking lot to parking lot at night peeling them off.

My childhood neighbor used to put a bumper sticker of the winning candidate on his car after the election.
He was a freak on many other levels as well.
No more bumperstickers of any kind on my car no matter how geeked I am for anything. Last sticker I had was the Pink Floyd Prism on my 1982 Pontiac Sunbird. Anything else is/was anti-climatic.
Why put the bumpersticker there in the first place when you know it’s going to be outdated and you’re gonna take it off or it will fade out of negligence? Attention seeking behavior is all I can think of.
Mine’s still on (actually it’s a John Kerry, President sticker – I was on the bandwagon early). I don’t see myself taking it off any time soon. I’m proud of the man I voted for and I’m proud of the campaign he ran, and I don’t care who knows it.
I assume my wife will be taking hers off sooner than I do, but she hasn’t yet.

Actually, I did have a Wyoming bumper sticker (or really, a window sticker) half-scratched off by someone. Have no idea why. Never underestimate freaks.
However, for the most part, my car is non-controversial and gets no funny (or hostile) reactions. I even have a super-cool Max Headroom bumper sticker. (It’s hard to read, but that’s what it is . . . )
I live in Southern California and drive on some of the busiest freeways in world, and I can attest that there is no shortage of political bumper stickers in the Golden State. Kerry/Edwards. Bush/Cheney(1 AND 2). Clinton/Gore. Bush/Whatshisname. They’re all still there.
What the hell are these people thinking???
The Bush/Cheney crowd is trying to determine how to scrape the sticker off and sell it to the lower-middle class for a profit. The Kerry/Edwards camp is contemplating leaving the sticker on - but wondering if global warming will cause fading, or if their car will be confiscated by the government.
